Is it possible to model the effects of having a javelin embedded in a shield?

Is it just me or are the shields in VC much more durable than native Warband? It almost feels like using skirmishers is useless/forgettable against anyone with shields.

Damage is lower. In any case your best bet is to use flank to attack with skirmishs instead of a frontal attack. Unless they dont have shields.

Ranged units have piss poor damage, even throwable weapons can't hit a damn. This is surprising with the lack of shield skill.

7% increase. Yeah the tooltip is missing some text there.
