I'm quite disappointed with the quality of the banners, faces and map terrain. It looks like the quality of the 90's. Is this going to change?

What's your hardware and graphics-settings?
You need to setup your graphics dude. Launch game and click on settings.
Pick Directx 9 and push all graphics to the max you can... like... everything on max
Just look at the official pics thread and you gonna see the game doesnt look like yours... at all...

My Directx is 9 and my graphic settings are medium. If this is called medium, then what is called low?
Will put my graphics to max, hopefully my pc can handle that since my old one crashed or lagged alot back then ..

Especially look at the texture detail slider under configuration before launching the game.

If you have a decent computer (this game engine is YEARS old) you can play on max graphics with 1000 bots and its look good. Not amazing. But good enough.
If your computer is too old to handle the graphics... well... then you wont get good graphics... right? Not much more to say.
And when I say old I dont mean your computer is 6 years old. The hardware specs. Thats what matter. So please dont come and reply you bought your Pentium3 last year
Now if its a serious issue: start by setting the stuff that matters to max first. Decrease bots number (battle size). After that you can tweak stuff that is not important (trees, grass, water, shadows, etc).

My computer is 1 years old and can handle it. But I play Persistent mods alot and with max settings you lagg alot.
Putted my graphics to medium, but with Viking Conquest, it looks terrible. Putted it to max and seems to be fine now.
