Czeremis
Sergeant at Arms
Those who played “The Deluge” mod, experienced great pleasure and fun playing this mod, but the truth is, that it’s just dead. Now we are trying to reborn community and organize new “big” event with new rules, maps and admins. Thanks to “Tercios” (God bless them), we can use 250 slots server to gather as much peoples as we can.
We know, that many of you left this mod as we did, but somewhere in depths of Warband gamers still looking forward to find their own place in seventieth century battlegrounds of Eastern and Middle Europe. We’ve acknowledged many “old guards” and they are going to join us, together we will show magnificence of this mod.
Whom you want to be, Polish Winged Hussar, Swedish Musketeer or Tartar Rider?
Bring some ice, your PC will burn!

About the event:
Event will be held irregularily once per few weeks, on Saturdays 18:00 UTC. These will be not always battles, there are also modes such as siege and conquest - about them in another thread. Moreover from time to time the event will have its own historical aspect with specified map prepared by one of our mappers.
Rules
Having seen many failures during previous events, we'd like to completely reform the way of making battles in The Deluge.
First major change deals with unit categories:
1. Heavy cavalry – required to use close formation
| 2. Light Cavalry – loose formation, suggested harassment tactic, able to use bows etc.
| 3. Reiters – suggested caracole or heavy cavalry formation for close combat
|
4. Line infantry + pikemen - bound to formations (could be loose, but please don't spread too much), fire in charge is allowed but no reloading while any of the squad's musketeers is in meele (when only pikemen fight, muskets are free to reload and shoot) . Officer can deploy as many pikemen as he wants, pikemen should be part of formation and are allowed to leave it only to fight in meele (e.g. for direct charge or defending whole squad from cavalry rush). If regiment has more than 15 people, can deploy one engineer. Only engineer may use the shovel and build trenches. The line infantry may use covers as long as they keep formation while hiding and it's not unstructured skirmish. They are allowed to use the wagon but pikemen cannot fight with pikes while driving!
Screenshots showing correct and wrong behaviour of line inf:
Commonwealth: Haiduk, Mercenary infantry Moscov: Strelec, Musketeer, pikemen Sweden: Musketeer, Pikemen (national or mercenary) Cossacks: registered cossack infantry, cossack infantryman, cossack peasant, mercenary infantry (guard) Ottomans: Yanissary, azab infantry Tatars: Kapikulu guardmen |
5. Light infantry – skirmish, fire in charge allowed and able to use all possible covers. They can also take the wagon and shoot while driving it.
| 6. Dragoon – infantry which use horses to deploy quickly on the battlefield, have to dismount before fighting. They can also take the wagon and shoot while driving it.
|
7. Artillery – contain 3 engineers and officer, all mounted, engineers can fortify their position. They can use a wagon for quick and safe transport.
Wagons – allowed for everyone, but line infantry cannot use pikes while driving
Ensign – 1 per squad, optional. Gives +20% bonus to accelerate, defence, accuracy and reload speed.
Officer – 1 per squad, mounted or dismounted.
Organization
-TS prepared for the event (address given below) is not necessary, but we always create channels for those who don't have their own and for random players
-No faction commanders except special, historical events.
-All commanders have to contact me [or another event admin] 10 minutes before the event, and inform about the numbers of players they are bringing that day, so I can start balancing the teams basing on the attendance.
