Project Reality(mod) reworks Battlefield 2, developed by Digital Illusions of Sweden (DICE), to create the most realistic and demanding virtual combat environment for PC gamers possible. This process has included everything from making dramatic improvements to Battlefield 2's already esteemed visual and sound effects to perfecting a true-to-life ballistics system that immerses the player in the battlefield like no other shooter can. Project Reality also drastically ups the scale of the original Battlefield 2 by featuring vast and exceptionally detailed battlegrounds as large as 64 square kilometers that take the player everywhere from the fjords of Norway to the narrow desert alleyways of Iraq to fight in massive team-versus-team battles with as many as 100 players.

Project Reality 2 (Standalone)

Project Reality 2 will be a free to play multiplayer game, based off of the critically acclaimed Project Reality modification for Battlefield 2. PR2 will be a complete standalone game, which will require no retail game to play.

Project Reality 2 is being developed and created from scratch, using Crytek's next generation game engine, CryEngine 3 SDK. It will provide the development team the tools to be able to create many stunning features to help recreate and improve upon what you as Project Reality players have been accustomed to for the past 8 years. The PR2 team is aiming to create the most realistic, immersive, and demanding shooter within a virtual combat environment.

Squad

Squad will be a tactical military game built from the ground up as a cooperative shooter, where high levels of teamwork and communication are supported, encouraged, and integral to gameplay. Complementary with that focus, we are seeking to bridge the gap between arcade shooters like the Call of Duty and Battlefield series, and military simulations like ARMA.

Will this be like PR with maps that are not depictions of real battles but just plausible conflicts and etc with maps with UK vs China, Germany vs China, Russia vs USA, and etc...

Hopefully however unlikely they will add a brazilian faction, maybe fighting some milicias like the FARCs and etc.


Oh and any word on the falklands?
 
To my knowledge theyre still working on the very first map. So I guess its a bit too early for that kind of stuff.
 
PR mod standalone version released. Hopefully FH2 will go standalone too (since FH2 uses the same server system or whatever of PR since the gamespy shut down)
