Modding this mod

I want to edit and add some stuff for this mod(for personal use), but I can't figure out how to use the modding tools to edit a mod, as they start with the Native files and overwrite the mod I am trying to make with Native files. Can anyone tell me how to load this into the modding tools?

You want want to try in the Forge unless you have a specific question to something special in the mod.
