So, Im part of the Grand Duchy because they have the awesome Longbowmen as their troop tree, but I can't seem to find any in the towns. Are they special spawns from villages?

AFAIK, special spawns only occur for town lords...but it's the Duchy. Stranger things have happened there.

They should be recruitable in towns.
If I remember corretly, I once recruited them there as a Duchy vassal with the M&B Vanilla version.

There is only Hussars in the warband one. I checked all the towns, just to make sure. And without their special longbow men, I like the Laurians, or the Omeri more.

They're also available in every single city as mercenaries except Vaegir ones, so they are definitely more common than hussars. The duchy towns don't have specific auto-spawning town troops, but you can talk to the spawned parties (Ibrahim) to hire his longbowmen.

Or just man up and overrun Calradia with a horde of Scythe-swinging peasants
