For Gold, Glory and Greatness 3
The goal of this mod is to improve the Calradia experience. Having played for over 300 hours, i have had made some experiences, as towards how to improve the gaming experience. The reason for the name is simple, that is what the game is all about.

What i changed

Army Composition
Sarranids, khergits and vaegir have more cavalry han infantry. Nords, rhodoks and swadians have more infantry than cavalry. Faction armies now also include mercenaries. Bandit armies are now larger.

Bandits
Bandits now have their own troop trees and one now encounters all levels of them. They start at level 14 and can upgrade three times to level 24. Like faction troops their equipment does not improve as they upgrade. Bandits now come in two types missile troop and melee troop.

Caravan Master
Are now tougher, better equipped and at level 24.

Civilian Clothes
Every faction now have different clothes for the civilians.

Faction Troops
Faction troops come in two types: Regulars and elite. Regulars come in the following categories: Infantry, spearman, archer, crossbowman, lancer and mounted archer/crossbowman. Regulars start at level 4 and can upgrade 5 times to level 24. As their upgrade their equipment does not improve.
Elite comes only as lancer. Elite start at level 7 and can upgrade 5 times to level 27. Like regulars their equipment does not improve as they upgrade.

Items
Removed some, added other made changes (to stats, prices looks etc). Most items have been made faction specific and are sold by faction specific merchants. Two-handed weapons can no longer be used on horseback.

Male Nobles
Since the male nobles are the top of society, I have given them the best equipment and armed them additionally with a lance. Except for the khergits, who have bows, and the nords who have throwing axes.

Manhunters
Manhunters have been made tougher and one can now encounter all levels off them.

Mercenaries
Mercenaries start at level 14 and can upgrade three times to level 24. Like faction troops their equipment does not improve as they upgrade. Some mercenaries start at level 19.

Mounts
Desert horses, rounceys and ponies are the fastest. With desert horses being the fasets and most maneuverable, rounceys doing the most damage and ponies being the toughest. Coursers are medium horses and destriers are heavy horses. Armored horses are the slowest horses. Donkeys and mules are best used as pack mounts. Camels are tougher but slower than horses.

Watchmen & caravan guards
Like mercenaries they start at level 14 and can upgrade three times to level 24. One can encounter all 3 levels. Though they are no longer mercenaries

Other
Added the option of not starting in a town.
Added the option of talking to village elder and guildmaster in the menu. (credit to Geoffrey Ashe)
Gave the turnament lancers, mounted archers, javelinmen and archers a sword.
Changed recruit prisoners to every 12 hours.
Increased the number of mercenaries in taverns.
Decreased mercenaries front wager.

Time period
Originally i wanted that the technological era should be late 15th early 16th century. But then realized, that the only way for the nords and their buildings to make sense, would be if it took place during the viking period or some time after, where the Scandinavians still looked like vikings. I choose the later. So the new date is 1122. Although it doesn’t follow strictly the real world.

The mod should hopefully after many setbacks and restarts be finished next week.
 
Unfortunately i did not manage to finish what i had planed in time, and now i am going on vacation. So the mod is unfortunately not coming out, as planned, but is delayed. 
 
I've only had a brief look at it so far, but I like what you've done with the recruitment. That method helps avoid a lot of troop tree problems and allows for easier balancing as well.

Downloading now. I remember playing For Gold, Glory and Greatness 2 a while back; I think I still have it somewhere.  :smile:
 
Unfortunatly my hardisk broke and i have lost the file to this mod. Wicth means that this mod will be an eternal beta.

I just signed up to thank you and the people that worked on the Gold, Glory, Greatness mods. They are fantastic. All your effort really shows.

It's a shame about your hard drive, hopefully you didn't lose too much important stuff.

Thanks for the praise, but there were only one person who worked on it. I am glad you liked my mods.

so you wont work on it,make again from scratch?

I did not find this project so much fun and was bored by it. Besides i am working on a much grander project.
