To put it simple, we are planning to organize a big clan war with many clans fighting many clans. If you are interested in participating the planning of this event, tell your clan leader to add _sotamursu_ in steam (just keep in mind, first 10 clans are "priority 1", and rest are priority 2, meaning, if there's no room for the priority 2 clans, they cannot play). The team balance will be done once we know who are coming to the event.

The event was be held on 31.3.2012 - 17:00 UTC+0.

Rules:
  • Each clan participating should sign up players participating from their clan (max 10 can play per clan + reserve players can fill up empty places in case some clan doesn't have 10 players or there's still room for more players)
  • Reserve players may only play if there's players missing from a team (game crashes, etc.)
  • Each clan leader should sign up the players using the template
  • More rules might be added later.

Match Rules:
  • Running away/hiding to delay round is not allowed, do a suicidal attack instead and let people play and have fun!

  • You should aim for max 3/10 archers and 2/10 cavalry from each clan.
  • Round length is 15min
  • There will be a spawn switch after every 5 rounds, and factions will be changed every 10 rounds.
  • More rules might be added later.

How are you going to stop this from being really drawn out? With so many players MOTF doesn't spawn easily.
 
So just to confirm a few rules, first off you say max 3 archer and 2 cav per clan. These are fixed class limits right? So given that there are currently 7 clans per team, that would mean each team would consist of 14 cav, 21 archers and 35 infantry? With the possibility of increasing the amount of infantry in comparison to the other 2 classes.

As such will the server be using an admin mod which supports class restrictions? Otherwise it will not really be possible to keep track of this. I would also suggest that these limits should apply to the team as a whole rather than to individual clans since it would force particular play styles on the clans otherwise. If you let it be flexible in only having global class limits then it can be arranged that different clans have different configurations, perhaps some with more archers for example while others take more infantry.

Also what will be the round time (Would suggest the maximum of 15 mins in my opinion, but definitely more than standard anyway) and will the teams swap sides etc...

the class limits aren't 100% strict, that's only what clans should aim for. as the purpose of this event is to have fun, i said: "You should aim for max 3 archers and 2 cavalry from each clan". if people are going to participate an event that's just for fun, most likely they will not go 100% archer if they are asked not to, or at least that's what i think... :grin:

oh, and added these rules:
  • Round length is 15min
  • There will be a spawn switch after every 5 rounds, and factions will be changed every 10 rounds.
