Bugtracking - see first post

My game crashes from time to time. Usually random, but often when a map is changed. This happened in previous version as well, and only seems to be happening to me.

I have a strong PC. The Deluge doesn't lag one bit, everything is smooth, save the occasional crash. BUT WHY ONLY ME?!

I could look past it, but just now I got three crashes in a row that made me take a swing at my keyboard.

Any ideas? :sad:
 
In The Deluge you'll see only Deluge servers, not even one on different mod. Sometimes it takes a while until they show up, since game hasto check all and filter them. If they won't show up, try clicking Refresh few times and wait a while.

You can also check if your mod directory has proper name. It should be "The Deluge 0.5". If you changed it, no servers will show up at all.

With mod directory you mean modules file? And it appears that all the files of Deluge are scattered in my modules map.

Nope. Just crashes to desktop instantly.

Just 1GB of RAM (from reading the RLG log)? Might be the reason why you crash during map change.
 
Ah, I remember now, M&B only uses 1GB by default - but you can change this using CFF explorer or similar programes, I will post a link to a guide if someone else doesn't do so before me (bit busy atm)

Really? Man that's awesome. You have no idea how grateful I'm going to be. I intend to play Warband for years to come, and this might just be what I need.

Who knows, might even gain a considerable FPS boost. :wink:
 
Have you played TLD for the original game by any chance? This fix can be used for that too, if your interested. I've done this for both Warband and the original M&B and can run larger scale battles much better, as well as missing out on all the memory crashes  :wink:


Anyway, original source would be this but I'll summarise it here

1) Download CFF explorer and install

2) Create a backup of your mb_warband.exe file

Can't guarantee it will fix your problem, but worth a shot.
 
Hello. just downloaded and installed the new patch. now after the loading screen I get a CDT mount and blade has stopped working properly?

3) Right click on your mb_warband.exe > Open with CFF explorer

Same here. Exactly after that the loading bar is clear a window appears and says "M&B Warband has stopped working" or something. I've tried it several times with the same result.

Edit: I downloaded the patch again (before I downloaded it from M&B Repostory) and now it's fine.

Why does this problem always happen to me?

When I download 0.51 patch my virus-protection system says that it is dangerous and automaticly removes the file. I've been searching a lot but can't find a way to remove the setting. Can someone who is using Norton 360 PM me so I can have help. I really need it.
