  Concept of the Mod
  Main idea is creation of new non-strategic opportunities for players. It means new locations to discover, visit and exploring; hidden chests;items and artefacts to search and collect; quest solo-missions (for main hero without any troops). Our audience is players who are bored after 100500 battles and sieges and who can't be encouraged only with new items and standart set of OSP-features. So we are not aimed on the historicity, popular movie or book, troops with weapon proficiencies at 1000 points and so on. Some not unique for mods changes are used because we themselves not played enough with them. Some changes are not critical for mod's concept but once appeared during the development they were found interesting and fit with the overall game world. In the beginning of development we created prehistory only, but eventually came to the decision that the story will be useful for most players. That is why we are going to create not only new single quests but a long sequence of tasks too. Some parts of it will have two alternative solutions - in warlord style and in Indiana Jones style.

      Mod's prehistory
  To give you more information we tried to translate small piece of book "Recensione di mondi sotterranei e il cielo" published by Pellentesque Auctor in 1604. It provides the necessary historical overview, as well as communicate some topics curious in themselves.
    Since ancient times there were two races in the world - demons and humans. According to available written records of human civilization, the demons were known to people at least 2,500 years before the Purifying War. And according to Geostij the Senior even 4000 years before the War. However, most historians disagree with him and refer among other arguments on the popular adage "big-nosed as Geostij", which is known to apply to people who drink heavily. The argument of course not scientific but make no fire, raise no smoke.
    On the origin of the human race every people nation has its own point of view, and I wouldn't describe them at present paper. About the same demons we know only two versions. The first holds that demons appeared in swamps of Traversania as bastard offsprings of stray dogs and swamp lizards. The second version takes them out of the deep underground caves of Goetia, entrance to which is also located in Traversania, but tells nothing about possible ancestors. I  should say that no reputable scholar, scientist or philosopher has ever penetrated into the caves of Goetia. Indeed - will the wise man to risk his life in such a godforsaken place and dark? Obviously not. So most data about this underground world we know from the stories of adventurers and bandits, as well as from the notes of merchants whose passion for the benefit much stronger than any fear.
    For a long time the two races, demons and humans, were not equivalent. During no less than 2,000 years demons were superior beings engaged in exploring mysteries of spirit, soul and matter. People were their slaves performed any hard and dirty work. Lords of the demons were addicted to the construction of magnificent observatories and huge libraries to hurt each other in undeclared competition.
    It's fair to mention about once existed scientific school called themselves "demoniac" because of it's passion to translate books and scripts remained after the outcome of the demons. Demoniacs pointed out that all the inventions that facilitate physical labor, as well as medicinal potions were the results of researches of demonic engineers and scientists. However after publishing by Tetsy Nataach "The Postulate Of The Ingenuity Of Suffering" and complete burning of the Demoniac Univesity by king of Pianurria Gagrinat the Red, people become more unanimous in this matter. It's obvious that all the important discoveries of antiquity were made by mankind for the sake of facilitating its own existence.
    But the heavy yoke was unbearable, and people began think about the overthrow of demons. While fear and disunity weakened the people, all these were only dreams nothing more. But the dictate of the demons prevented slaves of organize strife and slaughter each other, and did good work, forcing the leaders of the human tribes to communicate with each other only in a friendly manner. The leaders were able to come together and develop a common strategy. There is a great divergence of views - which one of the leaders played most important role and who less. Your humble servant is inclined to give priority to the leader of the ancient Rochians Hoose the Second. But not because I'n native Rochian, not at all.
    In the last decade before the Purifying War chiefs of human tribes agreed to participate in rebellion against their oppressors, but well aware that the forces are far from being equal. Here we can remember words of Vlav the Gray, chief of Eastern Alberia: "Our bellies are empty, arms are thin, heads are dark and nothing we can do without an aid." According to common thinking, it was decided to look for potential traitors and turncoats among the demons, but another ally was their main hope. All the time that humans remembed their history and demons - their own, in the mountains Rochia lived one of the last of its kind. The kind of dragons. Most likely, even the very last.
    Although Geostij the Senior in his book "The Mountains Of The Unknown" mentions a lot of stories about travelers who saw fresh dragon bones and their eggshell, the different point of view is dominated. According with both Orgat the Skew-Eyed and some extant scrolls of Demoniacs, dragons were viviparous and had low-active lifestyle to keep calm and not to damage with the celiac heat the development of the embryo. Consequently, stories about eggshells are false. Besides the last known representative of the tribe of dragons was male and could not leave descendants.
    They called this dragon Evigor. It was huge as a mountain. Terrible as the winged death. The strength of it was invaluable, and breath in the moments of rage turned into a flame. Tales say that the fiery breath was used by dragon to roast it's prey before eating, because dragon was not able to create vulgar cooking fire with huge clawed paws. Historical sources mention in this regard that tribes of highest areas of Rochia gave human sacrifices to Evigor quite often. It was their way to make the dragon peacefull. At the initiative of the king Hoose the Second, Evigor was seduced by promises of massive weekly sacrifices. The whole month Evigor was preparing to move from his nest and after that the Purifying War has began. During the war the troops of demons were defeated, many of their lords who were considered before as the immortal - killed by the dragon. In the one of most furious battles the dragon died too. Survived demon lords and the remnants of their race were generously allowed  to hide in the dark underworld of Goetia, where they languish until now.

Also we can mention works of Zahar and NightHawkreal.

  Scripts and resources are used both "as is" and with changes of varying degrees.
  This list can both grow and reduce while changes in the mod occured.

    Music and Sounds
  Sounds for game events (knocks, rattles, bells, etc.) are added as needed in addition to "repertoire" of the game. Music tracks will be replaced completely, and full list will be published simultabeously with first relise. (Note: some music tracks used in the videos aren't used in the mod).
  At present stage of development we want to highlight the collaboration of the authors/bands whose music is used with exclusive permission and even in some cases was written specifically for Goetia:

Wow, very nice mod!
I'm glad to see a mod that has some effort put into it. (Instead of some lonely guy asking for someone to make a mod for himself)
 
Looks like fun. I for one am going to at least give it a try. Good luck with it.
