I'm currently in the process of re-texturing some map icons to increase the variety. This is the current state.

Currently completed icons:

Light Scout (based on: gray_knight).

Medium Infantry (based on: player).

Heavy Infantry (based on: bandit).

Peasant Woman (based on: woman_a).

Warrior Woman (based on: woman_b).

Rebel Peasant (based on: peasant).

Heavy Plate Cavalry (based on: flagbearer_a).

Surcoat Variation Cavalry (based on: flagbearer_b).

Sarranid Horseman (based on: khergit_horseman).

Unarmored Light Horseman (based on: player_horseman).
In progress:

Heavy Khergit (based on: khergit_horseman_b).

Medium Horseman Variation (based on: vaegir_knight).

Trade Guild Caravan (based on: caravan). Needs coat of arms replaced with something easier.
Any critique/suggestions/ideas? Note: I do not model, so all I can do is some paint job.

I like 'em.
Haven't got any suggestions at present, but wanted to give this the ol' nod of support.

Only thing I question is how visible that symbol on the caravan guy is and if it looks alright from a distance

Hmm, a good point.

Frankly, it looks like this guy has a target on him.

Seems I'll have to find some simpler symbol.

Note to myself: next time, test stuff in-game before posting.

Update. Current line of cavalry. Two more are expected (chainmailed khergit and leather/chain medium horseman).

picture is lost to sands of time

Go for it - most of the texture are from Native (there's a slab of pork on top of some silk on top of the Caravan icon). A link would be nice I guess.

I love them! Any way you could make some icons for looters and such (shirtless, with just default body meshes)

I'm not planning anything like this at the moment - most of my OSP releases are just side-effects of my modding project, and I have already switched to different tasks. Maybe some day if I find that my and Somebody's icons are not enough. Though that's highly unlikely. In fact, if Somebody released his pack a few days before, I wouldn't even start on mine.

It's been released... for like 2 years now. I don't really care about what people do with it.
As a side note, you can separate the map icons in OpenBrf and swap shield models around (the caravan icon is a good candidate). Unfortunately, horses are still connected to the body mesh. There are also 2 unused bodies at the bottom of texture sheet (red leather center and khergit right).

Shirtless looters will end up having breasts on both front and back as the model is mirrored.

Indeed, shirtless looters require model redesign (and when you come to it, you may simply design a new mesh).

It is however perfectly possible to retexture a shirtless peasant woman.
