epic just epic

Thanks!

I will add some pictures soon, I am currently just doing some python stuff.... And have renamed the kings of Gaul/Rome. I'm leaving tonight for youth group, so I'll start again tomorrow.

Roman Legionary First Cohort - Roman Legionary

that's your troop three buts its not totally correct, a first cohort are a stronger cohort then a normal cohort. because a first cohort is bigger then a normal cohort, they where the first in line for some action

I think this is something better

Roman Legionary - praetorian guards

Praetorian where  elite Roman guards

Roman legionaries -> Roman Legionary First Cohort -> Roman Centurion -> Roman Praetorian Guard.

That would be correct. The guard should be very expensive/hard to train, though.

Are you sure Centurion should be a unit? Soon you'd see entire armies with only Centurions and Praetorians.

Better to have him than not. Good players will still play realistically, I think.
They should be at least made more expensive and harder to train.

I think it's possible to make that you can have just 1 centurion for every 100 (or another number for gameplay purposes) party size.
The grim age team made something similar where you can have only 5 warrior priests in one army and 50 flagellants per warrior priest.
So I think it's possible to make some sort of system which limets overuse of centurions/praetorian guard.
Maybe praetorian guards and centurions should both upgrade from the same unit.
By the way: you can also think of your companions as centurions to make it all easier.

Well good luck with your mod. Sounds promising. Helpful advice fix the grammar mistakes to make it look more professional (tooken?)

regarding the troop trees i think he is following the troop tree from Rome total war, oh and i agree with marcus centurions should be very expensive and hard to train to make it more realistic.

I have just read all your posts and taking all suggestions into consideration. I have also changed the troops tree abit... And Praetorian Guards, I will most likely add. Although they will be very high level, and very expensive. And thanks everyone for the support!

Progress:

Roman Troops & Troops Tree - Done
Gaul Troops & Troop Tree - Done
Factions - Done
Other Features - Working
Renaming - Working
Dialog Changes - Not started

judging from your progress i would say this will be finished sometime either this month or the next depending on how much time you dedicate to the mod, keep up the good work!
