Does anyone know what affects Lord capture rates?

I have a couple reasons I like capturing Lords:
One, when I catch them, their faction is significantly weakened.
Two, if I release them, I get honor.

Is there any way to increase the chance of capturing Lords in combat?
 
I am gonna go ahead and assume that TweakMB can solve this problem.

As it solves every question.

I heave heard rumors and rumors of rumors that prisoner management plays a role as well.
 
Yup, it's just a flat 30% chance.

You can edit that in scripts.txt (<mount and blade dir>\modules\native)

The red 70 is the chance for hero to escape. I think it only affects npc vs player.
 
It does only affect npc vs player, which is great. I have it set to 70% capture rate (which is still better for them than their 100% capture rate of the PC), and if it affected npc vs npc, there would likely be a serious lack of lords running around the field.
