OSP Medieval 3D Art Narf's Transitional Armour Pack (Updated 07/19/10)

As the title says, this is my transitional armour pack.  These items are all intended to be 14th century.

Please note that this is really a resource pack for you to use as you see fit, not a mod in and of itself.

DOWNLOAD TRANSITIONAL ARMOUR PACK

This pack includes:

V1.3:(Updated 08/16/10)
-added ~14th century kettle hat
-added heraldic version of surcoat over coat of plates, tweaked mesh and rigging
-2 steel bucklers
-version of Churburg 13 harness with mail
-version of splinted greaves without spurs, for the infantry (meant to do that originally, but was too lazy)
-lod support for almost everything
-installation instructions below, along with a module_system_1.127 with all relevant code


V1.2: (Updated 07/19/10)
-added in both a plain and brass-trimmed version of the Churburg #13 harness (changed quite a few things from the beta version)
-a plain and brass trimmed version of hourglass gauntlets
-a klappvisor pigface bascinet, with open and visorless variations
-altered textures of houndskull bascinet (now has the leather strip that attaches the aventail) and gambeson (it needed a shadow around the satchel)
-slightly altered rigging/mesh on corrazina model

Just some quicky screenies, if you want to find more detailed pics they're in the thread here.  I'm just feeling too lazy to collect 'em all at the moment.

-Corrazina, with full plate arm and shoulder harness, splinted leather cuisses, steel knees (in 3 colour variations)
-ca. 1350 surcoat over coat of plates, with plate arm harness, simple shoulder defences, splinted leather cuisses, steel knees (3 colour variations)
-gambeson
-full greaves/sabatons
-shynbaulds/sabatons
-splinted leather greaves with spurs
-2 types of 'Battle of Wisby' inspired gauntlets
-adorned mail gauntlets
-hounskull bascinet
-sugarloaf greathelm

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: note- for the heraldic armour, you'll need to use the module system.

editing the MODULE_INI:

[ctrl-f] to find this entry: load_resource = materials_face_gen

just below that, add:

load_mod_resource = narf's_transitional_armour_pack


ITEM_KINDS1 TEXT ENTRIES: note that the heraldic armour cannot be enabled with a text hack, you must use the module system- see below.

Increase the number on the second line from the top by 27, then copy these lines into the item_kinds1 file, just before the last entry:

It does for me, perhaps you will have to wait for some time.
 
Seems great from the pics. But I didn't see anywhere the number of items added. I mean, I could count into your item_kind.txt but it would be a lot easier if you added a readme with the number and references to add in the item_kind.
Same for the module.ini, using the one you provided could erase the modifications someone did with his file. Here also you just had to specify the line to add in the module.ini.

Thanks Barf!  No, I didn't bother with the female frames.  I guess I could do it in a few minutes if enough people felt it was important.

This pack represents months of work for me.  I've given it to the MnB community to use for free.  I've even included an items_kind1, and a module.ini file for people who don't know how to do these things themselves.  And you are complaining that you have to count the number of items in the pack, or even just look at a number in the items_kind file and perform some rudimentary arithmetic?  And if you're worried about the module.ini file overwriting your previous one, then... don't use it!!!  It's there for people who can't be bothered to read the numerous tutorials on how to add these manually.  It's a courtesy.
