Mod idea collection: I want this mod.

I dont know why it doesnt exist yet, Multuplayer Jousting on Horseback mod, its like a tournament, imagine a map like the arena, two knights jousting doing this: "Two knights faced one another on horseback. They armed themselves with long lances. Then they charged directly toward the other knight in an effort to knock him from his horse. However, the opposing knight had the same objective. Once a knight feel from his horse, the other knight then halted his horse and dismounted. After he climbed down from his horse, the two knights began a sword fight. "

there could be more than 2 knights in the same map, many players at the same time watching and waiting for their turn, I wanted to be a multiplayer mode, with everyone respecting the jousting rules, it can be a persistence mod like that the winner earns money and he can use the money for buy new armor, new horse, etc.

here are the rules of the medieval jousting: http://medievalcostumesandgifts.com/medieval-blog/do-you-know-the-rules-of-medieval-jousting/

I would like to see a mod set in Bohemia and Silesia during the Hussite Wars. It might be better as a WFaS mod, since that one has the whole wagon fort feature, which was instrumental in the victories of Zizka and his successors.

Oh yes, I doubt we will see one for Warband, but I hope there will be one for Bannerlord! Would be especially good with a storymode.

+1 I'd actually love that.
A very overlooked war, but was very important.

Not sure if anyone has looked into this as an idea for a mod, or if they did, what it would be named. I was thinking of a mod, patterned somewhat after the Sword of Damocles mod, in that you can capture territory and set up your own kingdom, possibly as an outcast from your homeland, but with a decidedly Japanese/Asian theme to it. Whether you stick solely with a Japanese element in which you had several homogenous Japanese factions fighting for control of their home islands, or whether you incorporate major Asian themes, to include the Chinese, and possibly Koreans, something that hearkens back to the days of honor among Asian nobility, shoguns, daimyos, etc. that would be something to play, and with the kingdom feature thrown in, so you weren't just some samurai lord or warrior fighting for a higher power, you could become the higher power and carve out your own territory. I don't have much experience in modding for this game, or I would look into attempting something like this myself, so I wanted to see if 1. Someone had developed a mod like that for the original version of M&B ver. 1.011, or 2. if someone would be interested in creating this mod.  If someone has info on this concept either way for vanilla M&B ver. 1.011, please message me with that info.

I have a idea to do a Multiplayer mod based in Anglo Zulu mod mechanics, but on Wild West, you fight as US Army Soldier defending a outpost or fortress versus Natives Apaches, Navajos, Mexican Outlaws. Contact me if you are modder and have interest on my idea.

Character Death/Inheritance system (OSP preferable)

After 9?(number changeable in menu) deaths in battle = permadeath
Character dies and is replaced by 'closest kin'
Player brought to Character create screen for fresh character with new stats
Gear and money inherited
Reset relations, renown, notoriety
Maintains faction position, i.e. lord, vassal, king etc.

I want a mod that gives all Mount and Blade modules the ability to instantly collect all taxes from all properties the player owns rather than having to stop by at each personally, like how Warband can.

I want a mod that will allow you to play a specific battle, the battle of Maniaki.

I already have developped the battle scene but I have a lot of problems and I need an experienced modder for this.

The battle scene would be a multiplayer server that will allow you to play as greek co-op vs turkey bots.

We also need some changes in clothes/flags/countries etc and we will add some sound effects/soundtrack too from a movie dedicated to it. We will also develop the leaders of each country that took place in the battle.

And what about a singleplayer mod based in americans stealing Apache,  Navajo, and Mexican lands?

This is for the standard Mount and Blade. I was playing the Solid and Shade mod the other day and noticed that I don't obtain taxes from fiefs I own automatically and have to go to each fief manually, only to find out that this was an addition to the system that Warband included but the original didn't have. Therefore I'd like to see a mod that adds this feature to to the basic Mount and Blade game as well regardless of the module the player is using.

Would be nice to have a mod based on any of the Warcraft games or the World of Warcraft itself, with lots of weapons and armor, races, and a map. It would certainly be a huge undertaking, but if someone follows through and assembles a team, it has a good chance of being in the top 5 of all time mods.

I wish one Native expansion mod, main features are;
1) Councils in every cities.

There would be two kind of Councils; Military Council or Civilian Council. If one city has a Civilian Council, lords has to work for getting civilian politicians' trust or support to implementation of their policies into City. If there was a Military Council in the city, orders would be implemented directly after Lord's order. Which city has Military Council and which city has Civilian Council at the beginning would be decided by mod maker, randomly.

If one city has a Civilian Council, Lord of the city could try a Military Coup to capture city's political control and put there one of his companions and few soldiers, but Military Coup could effect city population and reduce the tax effeciency. Or not a coup, but if there was one politician that always oppose of the Lord, Lord could try to assassinate him, and put there one civilian which follows Lord's orders. Which this way, if assassination success, tax wouldn't reduce and authority of the Lord could increase. If assassination fail, then there would be revolt against garrison in the city, and if revolt success that city would be turned into "civilion faction" with no lords. Relationship with politicians would increase with bribing them (could work on some of them, and could not work on some of them, if biribing couldnt work, relationship would decrease) or threating them (could work or not, if not work, relationship decrease) or helping that politician to assassinate his rival in the Council with a mission from that politician.

2) Lady Feasts

Our wife could has more mission than being "household and feast simulation". With this feature, our wife can host a feast for other lord's wifes, there could be two gladiator fighting in the middle of feasting room, also foods, drinks etc. Some of the guest ladies could increase relations randomly (if they enjoy the feast, if not then relationship wouldn't change). If one of lord ladies has high relation with us by attending lady feasts, then we could ask her to "would you like to be our guest again, with your lord?", and she would bring her lord in her visit. After that, we could talk with that lord and create family alliances.

3) Religions and cultures

If one captured city's religion and/or culture isn't same with your Faction, then there would be high revolt risk. Religion percentage could change in favor to your Faction's religion, like %2 for per week. And culture of the city could change into faction's culture like %1 for per week. If one revolt happens due to cuture and religion, and if that revolt succeed, that city would be returned to it's first faction. There could be "massacre population" choice in our military minister's dialogue, it could reduce tax revenue by %80 and to do this, there will be fighting scene in the city where armed civilians resist us. If we fail to win, tax revenue would reduce %50, also culture and religion of the city wouldn't change at all.

4) Enslaving Wives

Wives of the lords could be putten in prison after capturing cities. It could decrease our relationship with that lord, also made us lose honor.

5) Features that all other Native expansions have

HD Textures, few new items, new formations, banner maker, improved fiest scenes where lords/ladies are sitting in the table, diplomacy, Freelancer, Pre-Battle orders deployments, etc.

This is about the only suggestion that I found of any use in the last 2 years of this thread.  Its depressing.  Maybe I just don't see why anyone would make SOME OTHER PERSONS MOD for them.  But a checklist of unorthodox features is useful.

I can think of very few people with 1000s of hours to burn on making a full conversion mod.  Hopefully that person plans to drop out of school, quit their day job or convince their job to pay them to just show up and stay busy making games for "self training".  this would be even harder in Europe or USA, where the minimum wage is too high to convince your boss you have value just being in the office doing nothing for them.  But assuming that isnt the barrier, then I guess its working 9 hours a day on a mod, for a year or so, and having users tell you what you must do or not do or pretty much chew you up if you don't make it "their" way.  For free.  On a mod that wont even boost your resume, since its not even Python, but a proprietary elementary scripting language.  With no chance of getting a job from it.  So, "idea" people that dont do any work, post mostly to puff up their volume of forum fluff.

This same person that gave these ideas, going backwards I had to go 520 posts before getting to anything seriously interesting for game development.  I'll guess this is typical for each poster in this thread. Is the idea really unique? it may well be of use.  Demanding someone make a 1000+ hour investment in your vision of a book that you thought was nice and which you offer to micromanage a modder is pretty useless. But putting an idea for some unusual feature, that might be useful.  I personally wouldn't want someone to ride me to tell me how to make the world. They could make it themselves if they were that fussy.  But to have unusual ideas for a specific feature, maybe thats useful posting.

Of course, you're welcome to write anything you want.  just like modders are welcome to ignore most of the posts.  Its a free world, and its sooner or later 1000+ hours that wont ever get comped.  If it ever happens at all.  usually people just talk about making mods, and talk is cheap.  We'll see what BanterLord brings... if they ever stop talking about it and just put it into my or your hands.  If only...

I'd love to see a STAR WARS mod (SWTOR timeline) for Bannerlord.

Take Star Wars: Conquest mod and scale it up a few times in the new setting. Maybe cover and shoot mechanics and force powers if possible to implement.

I feel like this joke hasn't been done enough just yet.

I want a Bannerlords mod for Warbands. It would be so cool to play with like Vlandians, the Empire, the Aserai and all those guys.

I have sort of started messing around with making a mod set in the end of the 12th century (First crusade time period).

Basically it takes place in a barony called westgreenwhich (In England near london). The idea is that the Baron has left on crusade and I have a bit of a story for the mod. The two main features of the mod will be the detail on the map (Because its so small scale) and a storyline.

Please contact me if your interested- I have already started working on the troops but I will need help adding new items to the game and making quests. I can probably take care of the map myself.

Factions:
House of Harcourt - The the old and powerful lord Harcourt, Guneselin, was given the regency of the barony but both he and his son Matthew were greatly angered when the Baron gave his daughter and heirs hand in marrige to the young Sir Gervase Mountford. There colors will be Green and red (Some vassals will have their own banners).

House of Mountford - Ruled by the heir to the Barony, Sir Gervase Mountford, and his squire Robert FitzAlan. Sir Gervase was injured in the tournament at the barons leaving feast and is slowly dying. It was quite obvious that Will Donne had been employed by his cousin Gunselin to kill Gervase in the tournament and it was only with great daring that the mountfords managed to escape in the night from Chiddingstone castle (the Harcourts castle). They are at war with the house of Harcourt. Their colors will be

House of FitzAlan - Ruled by Robert FitzAlans uncle Sir Hugh FitzAlan, an ally to the house of Harcourt.

House of Robsart - Ruled by Sir Thomas Robsart a vassal of the old Baron, an ally of Sir Gunselin

House of Vaughan - Ruled by the tournament champion Harold Vaughan, at first neutral...

House de Say
- A neutral house ruled by the old barons wife Lady Catherine de Say. The territory consists of a small parcel to the west of the barony. The tenants and vassals are largely independent of their lady and it is more of a group of independent land hold holders who have chosen to remain neutral in the conflict.

House Herrel - These are the rest of the tenants and vassals who are mostly in the south west of the barony. They are lead by a prominent old knight Sir Edward Herrel. The Feif consists of his own personal lands as well as minor tenants who did not want to get caught up in the Harcourt-Mountford Conflict.

Troops trees
For the troops trees I want to keep them simple to avoid too much troop stacking, but also unique for each faction. I also wanted to keep them realistic for the time period.

My idea is this:

Village Levy } Levy Spearman/Levy Slinger
Levy Spearman } Armored Spearman/Scout
Armored Spearman } Professional Spearman/Special Faction Troop (Guisiamer, Swordsman, Spear thrower maybe?)

Scout } Mounted Sergeant
Mounted Sergeant } Professional or Armored Sergeant depending on the faction

Levy Slinger } Crossbowman/Levy Archer
Levy Archer } Professional Archer

Questline
There will be at least one main quest line in the mod where the player helps one of the warring factions. Wars will be static meaning they wont change unless the player changes them through the main quest line. The entire purpose of the module will be to follow the questline- it will not be like regular mount and blade campaigns (After years of playing I have become a bit bored with them).

How hard would it be to create a mod that allowed for instance, if X Monastery/Hof was raided X amount of times, it disappears like the bandit lairs in WB. Even better, if one could convert said Monasteries/Hofs in regions you control. Suffering the normal relation penalties for doing it of course.
