Hello

This looks like a really good mod but I don't understand why Lithuania was made as a minor faction. By the end of the 13 century Lithuania was the biggest country in Europe.

In 1237 Lithuania was... ehm... what? Lithuania? In 1237? LOL!

OK, seriously, in 1230s Lithuania was no match for any of the factions presented in the mod both in terms of territory and in terms of military power. Lithuanian(!) historians are still debating about the location of the capital of Lithuania in 1230s. Undoubtedly, by the end of the century they did a really good job conquering former Rus princedoms, but in mid-XIII century the situation was quite different.

...and by the end of the XIII century Lithuania wasn't the largest country in Europe...

Sorry my mistake it was the in the 15th century when Lithuania was the biggest state in Europe.

Yeah by the end of the 1300's, aka the 14th Century.  In the 13th Century Lithuania wasn't even a real faction or country, it was just a bunch of tribes....makes you wonder how much the Teutonic Knights acted as a catalyst for it all....hmm.

Anyway, my only real complaint with the mod is how Teutonic Lords have women in their castles/keeps.  I understand the Danish and Swedish lords of the Crusader faction having them....but celibate Teutonic Knights would certainly not.

I don't know if I am off topic here, but:
In the main thread I could only download .401 beta, while it says .550 available. Am I wrong? if not, where can I download the latest? Thank you, and congrats for this very good mod of yours :wink:

It depends on the battle size you are using. For example, it won't work if you play on battlesize of 1000 or something like this when everyone spawns at the same time. I.e. the defenders have to respawn for couple of times in order for the feature to work.
 
First: This mod seems to be a really great work! I like it  :grin:

Only a quick question:
I did Quick Battles and I found it very nice to hear the teutonics scream in german, the only thing unsettling is, that they sometimes scream "Ich brenne" what means, "I´m Burning". You can say, i´m burning with passion or something like that, but in german, "Ich brenne" is not considered a warcry. You could say that, when they were actually burning and consumed by flames, screaming in fear and pain, but they are not.
Is that intendet? Will there be flames in the mod like in Fire Arrow? Or is it just me who thinks, that it sounds unkorrekt in german?

Yeah, I pointed this out as well. Someone told me that they ment "I'm burning in hell" when they die or something like this.

I know that the system of war-cries will be redone.

On the subject of quick battles, the Teutonic v Rus is really well thought out and challenging, I only realized recently that it's Lake Peipus? "battle of the ice" I'm not too hot on Rus history but actually through playing your mod I started reading up a bit. You should consider also putting the intro battle in as a quick battle, the defend the bridge against the horde scene, I loved that... impossible, but again well designed. :wink:

I really like where this mod is going, a lot of good ideas and opportunities here.  I hope you guy(s) get it all done and working.  But a big problem I have is that it's just too hard to recruit anyone.  Getting even 5 rep in even one village and 10 in a city at the start of the game is really really damn hard.  The villages especially since they don't often even give quests, and the cities usually want you to escort caravans or take on 20+ bandits, which you need more than one person to do.  What can you possibly do to get the rep to raise an army?

Some possible solutions (without altering the system) might be
-Start out with a few units at the beginning so you aren't so weak
-Make it so if you sign on as a merc, you'll get enough rep in the city you're recruited in to raise troops there
-Make a ton of quests that are easier for a solo player

Additionally there seems to be a broken quest.  When you get the one to track down a murderer, they'll sometimes give you a "Rus knife" item, and are supposed to tell you about how they were framed, but the text is just a TODO.
