SP Musket Era [REL] Renaissance Mod 0.2 [0.711]

Users who are viewing this thread

Wow, this has been a good day for mods. Everyone seems to be releasing new versions.
I've downloaded it and will definitely check it out later.

Just thought I'd mention that if paying an arm and a leg for some of the high end items doesn't appeal, I put all of them in the zendar chest so people can try them out. If anyone spots any bugs or has any suggestions I'd be happy to hear about them.

PS: I can upload the art resources for the mod if anyone needs to use them for anything, just make sure to give credit in the readme file.

A little graphical problem, although improved from the last version. The new weapons appear all black, with no texturing in inventory view, although in-game they appear to be fine. In the previous version, they were all black in-game as well, which made it uplayable.

BTW, any plans of adding rifles and the such from the time period into the mod for future versions?

You seem to be getting all the graphical problems Wonderland. Weren't you the one with the invisible rifle stock too? Maybe you're install is messed up somehow or other. Or maybe you're just unlucky.

That happened on my brothers PC as well, but it worked fine for me. No idea what causes it. As for rifles, I'll be putting in smoothbore firearms but rifles are a good bit later than the time period I'm doing. I've got some models done for them, but I don't think putting them in is worthwhile until I can edit animations and add muzzle flash/smoke. The next update will focus on the map and factions, with a few new helmets and shields as well (unless anyone can think of any more weapons to add).

...Guilty?

Install was fine I expect. Not much that can go wrong there... point 'n click. And this isn't the only install that had its quirks. Anyhoo.

It wasn't just the mod for him - he can't see a fair few of the black armor pieces on the inv screen.

Ah, me either. Maybe it's a monitor brightness related thing? I just thought it's because the black armor pieces are so close to the black background, it only makes sense it doesn't show.

After installing the mod, when I attempted to start up the program, I received this prompt...

"attempt to reregister object estock"

Is there something that I need to modify in the files, or have I slipped up while installing?

I'd recommend reinstalling the mod, but I've never seen that problem so I can't really help that much.

It might be worth deleting and reinstalling Mount & Blade alltogether (make sure to backup the saves first though) before you do this one. There might be something causing a conflict.

Same thing here. All new weapons are very dark gray. First mod where that happens. Cool weapons btw.

I've found out the grayness is caused by a problem with the alpha chanels. I have no idea why this is happening, but Mount and Blade seems to ignore any alpha channels I add. Most of the ones in the mod had the alpha channels left out because of that, as they do make the filesize larger. I'll try reinstalling my DDS plugin unless anyone has any ideas how to fix it.

Found a bug. When in Zendar I took the mission to escort a caravan to Tulga. But when out of the city ther was no caravan to escort. Looked for it all over the map with the ctrl-t cheat but there simply is no blue caravan icon.
Same bug as in HYW when I got a 'destroy troublesome bandits' quest. No such bandits were to be found on the map. :???:

My current internal beta actually has entirely new enemies, so I don't really see the point of adding new weapons to characters who are just going to be deleted.
