Little problem

Hi, I tried this interesting mode and I ran into bad situation. I sort of attacked peasant settlement, which lowered my relation with them to -8 (without showing, so I saved the game afterwards). Now all their parties keep following me and they want to start combat, but it never starts. Still it is unbelievably frustrating. I am quite far into the game (cca. 80 days) and I don't want to start a new game. Is there a way to improve relations? Or maybe better to modify savegame to get it back positive? Thanks

You can do a few things...start a new save game, pay the peasant parties every time they confront you ($1000 = +1 relation) or help the peasant parties when there in a battle with another party.
