Thanks.
About the ships: I really have no idea, but I guess it doesn't work. Or it works, but the naval battles are actually fought on the ground.

You should have one in your inventory from the start, and probably be unable to buy ships.

Progress report:
I'm working on integrating permadeath (with a possibility of a second chance). It's moving along quite nicely, for now at least. I've also started working on a special scene, will post screenshots when it's done. Also, I'm making a global difficulty option, which, once chosen at the start of the game, is not to be changed ever again. Easy will be a mode suited to players which are spineless new to the game or unsure in their abilities. Will feature various bonuses for the player. Normal is the recommended difficulty. On Normal, everything will be as it was meant to be played - which is to say challenging, but not too difficult. And last, but not least, Hard will be the shit. Will feature various nerfs to the player as well as buffs to enemies, more difficult challenges, etc. Hard is supposed to be hard. Not hard as in "hard', but as in "insanely hard" - a challenge almost unbeatable for you to test your skills against. Oh, Hard mode will also remove any chance of a second life. If you die, you die. Period.

How permadeath works: If you get knocked out in combat, there is a chance that you die. On Easy, this chance is 30%. On Nomrla - 50%, and on Hard - 70%. If you are lucky, you won't die, but be critically wounded - as in the normal game. If you die, this is other business, but you'll have your chance of "respawning"... if you're not playing Hard, that is... :)

Progress report:
I've been doing some stuff lately... Some, you may say, extraordinary stuff, in the sense that it's NOT ordinary.
Like Great Eagles for Beobart's upcoming Forodren Auth mod that's focusing (as the name implies) on the Northern Wars in Middle-Earth. Anyways, this is my excuse for doing basically nothing on TBS for some time. :)
I hope these two pics will help you not be mad at me for delaying:

Forodren Auth, the first mod to have flying eagles in it. Stay tuned...

Also, I found two interesting screenies in my Screenshots folder. Ladies and gentlemen, I want to introduce you to the Arsenal Shipka, a bulgarian-made 32-round submachine gun, firing the 9x18mm Makarov or 9x19mm Parabellum rounds.

Indeed I am kidding. I made the model and although the texture is crappy and the shader is wrong, I can tell you that mowing down enemies with 32 consequential rounds of doom is VERY fun. Looks kinda cool too.

I'm awaiting responses... :D

I suppose I should probably add that, I too, cannot see the pictures.
I remember quite a while ago there was a poll here for different types of browsers people were using and that it was affecting some of the images being uploaded. For the record, I am still using chrome, so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it

Progress report?
What's new...
> Special scene (mentioned above)
> Permadeath (I think it's done, not sure though :))
> Unique, stylish difficulty selector (difficulty can't be changed after selecting)
> Town/Castle recruitment
> Something else which I've probably forgotten.
Boys and gals, I'm nearing release. :) We'll wait for WB 1.153 and WSE first, though.

During some playtesting today I took this screenshot:

I just felt as if this moment needed to be documented. I felt as if the world lies in my feet, looking to the vast expanses of the Easter Plains from the hilly Gomorian land, me and my little squad of trusted men.
Damnit, I need to fix that town recruitment. The troops seem to be making a labour strike; they're refusing to show up as recruitable...
