I suggest improving the Khergits on horseback but decreasing their ability to fight on foot, such should be the case with knights in heavy plate armor as well.

How do you suggest making the Khergits any worse on foot.  I don't think that is actually possible.  Why do you think people hate to play as them in village.  None of them have any athletics.  The archers have the lowest health in the game and the lowest powerdraw.  The lancers have 3 powerstrike and no heavy damage weapons.  Weak shields, no affordable midrange armor.  I would say that lancers are the worst cavalry dismounted.  Some may argue Rhodoks but their cavaly have some athletics at least.  And making their cavalry skills better would still leave them with no viable tactics in close-quarters maps.  I say go the other way with it.  Make lancers at least as good as vaegir cavalry dismounted.  How many of you think that you couldn't beat a team consisting of only dismounted vaegir cavalry for infantry.  Be honest now.  Okay good.  Well Khergits are the worst cavalry dismounted which is even more difficult.

The only cavalry tactic that might help them would be to give Khergits an extremely manueverable horse.  It wouldn't even have to be that fast.  That might help a little but I'm not sure.

Khergits not having infantry would be fine with me (they are horsearchers main after all) but the archers should be MUTCH more accurate to be effective due to lack of armour, also, if Khergits dont get Infantry.....why let Rhodoks and Nords have cavalry ? just seems silly to me  :(

I really think the last Khergit-Lancer armor should be taken out, or weakened. It's stronger than the swadian brigandine, and damn, Swadians should have the best armor.

Khergits in general are not completely overpowered, but very annoying.
If someone's opinion was important enough to carry weight, you wouldn't be watching it on YouTube.

Khergits are very good for defending castles or towns, they have high archery skills, also if you have good tactics you can win wery easily swadians.

i like this idea. i said something alluding to this before, but you took it to the next step (an actual suggestion!)

if you've ever fought anybody else on a horse before, you'll know maneuverability is a HUGE part of the fight. this might just give them the advantage everybody's (for lack of a better word) whining for.

I'm pro giving the Khergits some sort of foot unit..

It could be semiheavy footarcher, like nord..?

And have acces to shields and a decent 1h weapon, and have some athletics.

Sounds ok..?

I always (Well 90%) play Kerghits in normal play and while I haven't played Warband yet I can see a group of Ker dominating any map if used correctly (Or at least the maps I've seen on youtube and I imagine that's all of them).  Don't need a TON of room to run in a circle and away and shoot arrows, of course you can't go in cities unless all together for fire support..and it would help if all of them were actually GOOD at archery skill (Not PC buy player themselves).

Hey, come on let's agree that all Armies or factions should have atleast some form of Infantry and Cavalry, just for the fun factor and the balance factor. Sure Nords may not have the best horses, but hell they got the tuff infantry. Then you got swadia, which is generally Heavy everything (cavalry and infantry). Khergits have fast horse basically ride around fast and turning your enemy into a pin cushin on the move while they chase after you but they will never catch up due to superior speed. So this is where archers/crossbowmen comes into play, shoot those Mounted Archers down! They maybe hard to hit, but so are you. Their horse has a high silhouette giving them the hit me sign. When they fire on the move it's inaccurate so you have to play it smart, the infantry in the Khergits should be a lightly armor footman with a sword and shield maybe a 2H weapon to give him oomph, with good melee, agile and athletic overall hes a smart playing fencer like character.

It would be boring if all armys got the same every fight looks same

agreed. people should know if they get stuck w/ kerghit on things like siege defense, they're going to have a hard time. likewise, rhodoks should be ecstatic :D (i would have said swadian, but they just pwn everyone)

that's not to say it should be so unbalanced that you don't have a chance, but i don't think that's the case. things like weapon skill needs to be looked at, still, but that's pretty typical for all the factions.
