Way the best suit of plates I've seen, and the helmet...that's really perfect. Can't wait to use those in game

Narf, you are really inspiring me to try making a descent armor, I have only edited native armors, but never made 1 from scratch.

Here's a contemporary depiction of the battle of Clavijo. Many details.

Some pics of my new hounskull bascinet.  Still a work in progress...there will be a version with brass trim, and maybe with the aventail attatched to the base of the helm.

And, with the help of Dejawolf's masterful klappvisor helm, some Italian heavy infantry prototypes:

By the way, Yigit, thanks for all the reference pics.

hi, just something for consideration. maybe make the aventail and shoulder area more sloped, like this:

i edited the screenshot to show it:

Well, this thread has been quiet for a while, but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy.  In between working on stuff for other mods, I've still been creating models that I imagine would be useful for a 14th century mod.  If I run out of time or energy to finish what I've begun with this mod (or if it never gets made), then I will release this stuff as an osp if there's any interest.

Here's what I've got done- some of this stuff has been shown before:

Mid-14th century plate and mail with surcoat- consisting of padded armour under mail, coat of plates, simple knee cop, splinted cuisses, full arm harness. The surcoat can have whatever coat of arms is necessary.  These are examples:

this pic was while it was still a wip:

leg armour (used modified native meshes, 'cause I'm lazy):
Shynbaulds:

Splinted greaves over boots with spurs:

And full cased greaves:

Hemls:
Hounskull:

Sugarloaf (Rathos may have put this in Britain at War, not sure):

Gloves:

2 wisby style plate gauntlets:

this pic also shows the completed (?) corrazina armour:

Mail gauntlets (centre pic):

On the march (with two of Dejawolf's helms):

Hopefully I remembered everything.  It still doesn't seem like much, but I'm getting there.

That is awesome Narf, many think IaW is dead, but it is not.  :)

I love that surcoat model. All of these models are rated 10/10.

EDIT: Yes Narf, the sugarloaf is in BaW but not released yet.

Perfection, as always  :o

BTW: allow me to say- even though of course it's up to the mod creator to chose- that an early beta, even be it with no other feature then those wonderful pieces, would most likely make me as well as several other supporters very happy to keep ourselves busy, even just by roaming around in such splendid (and realistic, true) suits! :D
Barely a subtle way of stating: can't wait to see those on my screen :)

Narf is that warband?

When warband is released, I might just put together some troops, with new item, then give it to the people in the team.

I would like to not release several version before the main release, since people might be bored and might not play the mod much, since they have played earlier version before.

I also hope I get motivation to mod when Warband is released, I am not very motivated now tho.  :?

Superb modelling and texturing, Narf, those are probably some of the best items I've seen.

ps: How resource consuming are those items? They look good and all but they might have a considerable impact on performance.
