I am still creating only this -jawa on floor ... but not normal skeleton for standing jawa

AHA! skeleton must be placed on right place, not only scaled

Are those dwarves and giants so edgy because you applied hard edges, or?

That's a good idea. Or someone looks and maybe figures out how to save your personal skeletons to your mod resource. I'm too busy atm.

Copy skeletons.brf from CommonRes to your mod Resources, name it whatever you want, add your new skeletons in that file, change "load_resource=skeletons" to "load_mod_resource=name_of_your_copied_skeletons_file_here" in module.ini... It works for other brfs, so it should also work for skeletons. Though you'll still need the "skeleton_bodies.xml" in Data folder.

Slawomir, thanks. Also, you have Iron Launcher for that Data folder problem!

As Geroj mentioned above, he created a Jawa-sized skeleton and jawa-sized robe.   I tested it in game and it worked well.   We still need to create a smaller head, hands, feet, and re-rig the robe better, but overall it is really great so thanks everybody for their feedback and help.  We'll continue to play with this more and see what else can be created....

edit:  does anybody know how to create multiple races for horses....  i'd love to be able to have a tf_horse and tf_speeder type of flag with different sound effects...  Although I'd probably still run into problems since the gallop animation would have to either be off or on.    :?

Now that's a good question. tf_mounted, however, is indeed listed in header_troops.py . Don't see a trace of it in module_skins.py or somewhere like that though.

This is awesome! Just saw it. The only bad thing is that the larger bodies will require much more detailed models.

Not really. That body looks so "deformed" because of OpenBRF's vertex normal problem (should be fixed now).

Nah, you shouldn't sticky only this. Instead, we should have a major tutorial-thread where hundreds of tutorials would be in. :P

yeah, we really need a separate mod tutorial/kits/documentation/etc board since most of these good tutorials get lost...   :?

on a side note, the limitation of only 16 races in module_skins.py is really upsetting now that we have skeleton support....  I want to create different skeleton sizes of rancors and other aliens, but each one would have to be a separate skin, and I'm already at the maximum...  argh.  !@#!*
