in the effidian's editor. load the mod you have imported the sword Go to troops>trp_Zendar_chest>Very to the right it is wrote "inventory" press the + button> find your sword, press the "OK" button and save.
then you start m&b load> your save> go to zenda> go to the tavern> aim at the chest, press F and there is your sword  :D

Doesn't work for me. I was using it to replace an item that i accidentally sold, but it wouldn't work. I did just as you said. Does it matter if the chest already had items in it? Or if the chest started with items in it in the beginning of the game?

No, it doesn't matter if the chest already had items in it. But I think you have to start a new save.

Cool editor,i'd say. But how do i add chests? I have searched A LOT and can't find some tutorials about it.

Here's what i did.

1. Copy zendar_chest,added items, (in the troop screen)

2. Added it in a scene

3. Shows up as men without proper clothing!

4. I changed the scene in the troops screen to random scene.

5. *got surprised* no men or chests!!

I have choosen a position that was NOT token, still, the same happened

Edit: I know how to now. No worries.

As has been said before, the Unofficial editor DOES NOT WORK with the latest version of Mount and Blade, 0.808.
It will ONLY work for 0.751 or earlier.

It WILL NOT be updated for 0.808. You really should learn Python, since it's really easier, and the only choice for modding 0.808.
Brother against Brother - the American Civil War mod

There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed his desire to become a great writer. When asked to define "great" he said,

"I want to write things that the whole world will read, things that people will react to on a truly emotional level, things that will make them scream, cry, howl in pain and anger!"

He now works for Microsoft, writing error messages.

Step 1- open the module you want to edit, and go to the items tab.

Step 2- Now find an Item simmilar to what you want to make, select it on the side menu

Step 3- go up to the edit button at the top menu and select copy

Step 4- now press Add Copied, Name it whatever you want.

Step 5- edit whatever you want to make your object!

I have some questions to this explanation.
Step 1 - items tab? By that you mean item_kinds1.txt?
Step 2 - find an item? Do you mean like
Quote
itm_practice_sword Practice_Sword Practice_Sword 1  practice_sword 0  12591106 9223388529554358287 3 0 1,500000 100 0 0 0 0 16384 103 0 90 0 522 528
0
for example?
As I understood it, editing this textfile is all there is to it? Does this mean one can simply copy an item from one mod to another within this textfile?

Just so you know, this unofficial editor was for version 0.751, as is the documentation. All the stuff here does not apply to the latest version. As far as I know, there are no plans to update the unofficial editor.

Where can I get the Unofficial Mod Editor?????

if you had bothered to read the post before yours you'd see that it doesn't work for the current version, and it hasn't worked for quite a while.

plus, Module System is way more flexible.
