Seeing as i'm not entirely sure what is supposed to happen when I walk around my own settlement, let alone another one, I am not sure that this is a bug, but it seems likely to be:

I have so far never seen any messages appear when I walk around my own settlement on the map ( Stoneport ), except for travellers and one bandit. But, when I walked around some other settlements, such as Emptai, I have walked around and seen the following:
"The People of Emptai appreciate your presence
Your troops appreciate the downtime
You gain temporary hitpoints for spending time in your settlement"

The bolded part is the bit that confuses me. I have claimed Stoneport, i've done a whole lot of organising the population, renamed my faction etc. from it. ( I even agve them tools, although I don't know what that actualyl does- can anyone enlighten me?) So I am confused as to why that message has appeared.

This bug, at least I think it is a bug, means I have no real way of increasing my relationship with my camp, asides from the very rare bandit spawn.

That message should be happening in your own settlement too.  It seems somewhat random because it doesn't happen often (and time in one place carries over to the next I think).

I'll change the message, the "in your settlement" part is a cosmetic error.

I walked around my settlement ( granted, it was in a straight line and I was afk) for about 5 minutes, and even after checking the Recent messages log I had not had the message appear for me, only two travellers. Is it possible either the Graphics Enhancements or Battlesizer mods are messing with the game? I wouldn't think so, but its the only non-standard thing I have.

Not sure, is it a bug or trading is not implemented yet:

Merchants and their prices are the same in every settlement.

That one is known, actually it's the same merchants in each settlement, it's just that trading isn't implemented yet.

I noticed another one (actually I noticed it some time ago, I just forgot to report it):
When I stay in a settlement for a time
  • the settlement likes me more,
  • the Elder Peasant likes me more,
  • the merchants like me more,
  • I myself like me more,
  • visiting hero like me more and
  • my two bodyguard heroes like me more twice.

Something strange with companions equipment:

I have two companion NPCs (Nizar and Marnid)

It looks like they can carry only one weapon of each type. Polearm, One-handed, Throwing and Shield is OK, but when I equip them with two same type weapons (i.e. one-handed mace and one-handed sword) and exit from equipment screen, then, next time, one of these weapons is lost. Not critical, but...

I noticed the same thing when I gave Klethi three trowing axes.ext time I looked at her equipment two of them were gone. Also it doesn't seem like the factions do any attacking of settlements. Ismirala started Swadia in Custow very early on, and they still only have that one settlement

Visiting your settlement raises your self-esteem, you're all like "Who owns and builds up a nice settlement?  I own and build a nice settlement, I love myself"

About the bodyguards, I thought I added a hero-check, I'll fix that part of it, but everything else is intended (the merchants/etc is kinda weird now but will make more sense when they're actual heroes themselves).

Edit: looking at the code, this shouldn't be happening (theres both a hero-check and a player-check)

Thats very strange.  When you say you check their equipment and come back later.. do you mean they remain your companion the whole time?  Or are they roaming around on their own?

Because if theyre roaming around during that time, they're switching around equipment on their own.  They still likely have the items you gave them in their inventory, but are not equiping them for whatever reason.

I've noticed that sometimes when I fight the owners of a settlement, depending on the settlement, Me and the enemy spawn almost right next to each other.

Also, I fought the owners of a settlement that had a population of about 50 people. Upon leaving the battle, I noticed that the whole population was leaving (the name of their party was simply called Population)

So I went to talk to them, told them to go to my settlement. But they didn't even add any population to my settlement when they got there. Strange.

Yes, they stay with me all time.
Open equipment screen, put two same weapons to NPC weapon slots, press "Done" and immediately open this screen again - one weapon is gone. Is it possible that NPC has his own "invisible" inventory and hold some stuff in it?

I noticed something a bit similar to that one:
When I equip my heroes with helmets they are not always visible in the equipment screen (helmet slot is empty) but it is visible on the mannequin in the troop tree. I haven't found anything that triggers it as most of the time the helmet is still equipped. As it only happens with the helmet it's possibly based on the fact that they don't wear a head in the settlement screen.
