Yes, I did, and got that error.  I found a workaround, though - I copied the original banners.brf file into my mod, manually deleted the banners I wanted to use (only used banners a to c) and imported from std_banners.  Thanks for making this, I love how the banners look now!

Hmm...that is strange, but at least it is working for you now.

Just so you know bo_banner_pole is a different model than banner_pole.  Anything with a bo_ in front of it is a collision mesh, and it lives under the "Col" tab in BRFEdit.  So it may have been that you just needed to import the correct mesh.  I'm not sure though.

Glad you enjoy the banner pack :)

So that's why I couldn't find the mesh! Let me try this again ... the proper way :-)

A bug existed in v2.0 (Thanks to MarkQuinn for reporting it), which has been fixed in v2.01.

Why couldn't Taleworlds just make it a default feature of the game? This shouldn't be this difficult! And who wouldn't love to use their own banner in the game?

Well, this pack is much more useful in Warband because the devs made changes to the textures, and they are even less standardized than before.  Texture sheets are no longer the same size, and many of the models have visible errors.  Anyway, I hope this pack helps some people regain control over their flags, banners, and heraldry!

MarkQuinn has made his fantastic Better Banners resource available for your use as well.  This was developed to work with the banner and flag standardization pack.  Here is a preview of the banners you can have in your game!

Hey Mosquito.

Just downloaded the pack from the link you provided but the filed is simply named "M" and I don't have the required program to open it. Is this normal? D:

Thanks in advance

:EDIT: Nevermind! Just me being an oaf. Sorry buddy.

This appears to be an issue with the M&B repository or possibly the way I uploaded the file.  I'll take a look at fixing the naming issue tonight.  In the meantime, You may need to rename the file and give it a .rar extension.

EDIT: Fixed.  The M&B Repository was tripping over the '&' character in the file name.

Would it be possible to take a JPEG image on my pc, and then import it somehow so I can have a custom emblem on my shield? Please get back!!!

Yes, this pack provides templates for making that kind of thing easier.

You will still have to be familiar with how to use a image editor program (photoshop, paint, etc..) and be able to create a .dds file from the texture though.

this is great although I I tried it when I was tired and so I ended up with something quite unexpected, but really good.

I made a banner I liked but it didn't fit the surcoat as I'd like, but when I got that to work right, it was wrong on the banner, so I thought I'd give the horizontal flag a go and got the flag looking great, but low and behold, the surcoat is still the one I had from the vertical banner.

so you can have 2 versions of your arms, 1 for horizontal flag and 1 for surcoat and shield.
not sure if you put this in intentionally, but it's great.
if you didn't do it on purpose, I have no idea how managed to get it to work

not happy with how the shield looks yet, but here is the flag and surcoat I am using now

BTW I peed in your cherios.
You can order them into formation, but they only know two:  the Line, and the Clusterf***.  Unfortunately, they're a lot better at the second one.

yep, the heraldry only uses the banner textures.

well it's nice that it works like that :D lots of potential there

this pack is great and I've made a lot of banners this weekend :D

is there any chance that you would make a shield standardization or remap pack?
if it could be done so that instead of it centering the texture on the shield, it centered it on the top half so that the design is central on the shield but on the chest of the surcoat it would be the best mod for M&B IMHO
