No. Basic is just new items, music, and sounds, as is stated quite clearly in the OP of the Introduction thread (without even needing to go to the list provided later in the thread)

I'm fairly certain you can throw Diplomacy over the Floris Basic install, and it should work. YOu might have to tweak a few of the ini files.

Vice-versa. If you wanted, you could merge the items file from Floris Basic into Diplomacy. Not sure how well it is set up to work with 2.5x though; Floris 2.4x this was pretty straightforward.

Yeah.. Floris Basic onto Diplomacy.. I knew it was one way or the other 'cause I've done it before.

Yeah, it works. You just have to be sure to use this soundfix for 2.4
