Well no, the teamnumber is merely administrative. It shows in which order people signed up and thus has nothing of importance for the team itself.

What watly said, it's used pretty much just for seeding purposes, and possibly to sort out teams over the 2-4-8-16-32-64 etc. check points for signed up teams.

Guys it would be very handy if you could put in a link to your steampage, as it is always an unnecessary amount of extra work if we have to find it through hundreds of usernames ourselves.
