After playing for about an hour on siege as artillery crew with a few friends on TS, apart from being bothered by other players who 'claim' our artillery pieces if we're not fast enough to place the ammo or reload it faster than they do, we we're being shouted at by other players for 'not breaching enough'. This was strange to us, as we had breached three outer and two inner walls fully. On closer inspection - when we charged at the two minute mark - we found that the sappers of the defending team had placed dirt mounds at odd angles so that our team-mates could not walk through the breach.
Now the only way to destroy these things - from my knowledge - is to blow them up with sapper explosives, but let's face it, the odds of getting a sapper to the breach, have him place and build the box and then ignite it are too low. On some maps it's practically glitching anyway, because even if they align the mound with the wall the angle tends to be too steep to walk over it.
Surely something can - and has to be - done about this. I mean it's hard enough for the attackers to win at siege anyway without this bullshit. If it we're real life I could have physically pulled the mound down with my hands, but alas, melee weapons do no damage to such things.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so what's your view on the matter?
