What I really like is that in events for average all round regiments going into a melee charge is that there is no more spinning and dancing like steps. Regiments go at each other like how they really did back in the Napoleonic wars, no dancing, just stab or be stabed, but ofcource for this game, the added blocking. You might bring up the fainting issue, but if someone couldn't lower stab someone in the battle, they will try the upperstab, so people ingame here will take advantage of what ever they can to get ahead, so they started the fainting attacks, I have no problem with that. The old MM melee was a messy and unrealistic. I feel like the new melee system almost has more balance then MM. One side was full of spinners, like when regiments play together, vs the pubber team which wasn't as advanced. Now, each side has even ed out the skill, because the basics are easy to learn, but to master takes a lot of time, making it easier for the average person who just bought the game.
