Yes but noone knew how poor it would turn out. The WFaS animations are all a load of toot to be honest. I certainly didn't vote for any changes however.

NW is still a baby in my opinion.
It needs to grow up and get some love from us.

Count on the devs and be happy that it doesn´t crash all the time :D

I dont see "change upper swing into butt stab".
I would like to see that. As this is far more realistic bayo fighting technik. And will remove lots of problems we have right now.

What about a moral system? one that lets you stab but depends on how much moral you have like say the bar is full and the you upper stab which takes up half of it. and then you can down stab and take only 1/6 of the bar?

It's been discussed and rejected and rightly so. This isn't really an RPG. I want to experience the emotions of fear or bloodlust in the real world and not have my game telling me how I am feeling. I don't want my game telling me 'you've got too low morale to be able to fight as well as your opponent' when I actually want my fighting skills to determine whether I can face up to someone and for my real-life morale to have the true impact on the situation.

So what was "fixed"?

but what's annoying me is people who rage and complain about me using a sword and kicking their arses saying that a sword needs less skill...

I have very little skill but I do a lot better with a sword because people generally find side swings hard to block.

Not correct, you can block all upstab chambers, even at point blank distance.

The up attack range was nerfed I think

Not correct. The bayonet was shortened overall, the upstab calculation was changed (which effects many different areas of melee such as hanging overheads and the stun against swords)

Not sure what they changed as I'm new to this version, but the melee does seem to behave strangly sometimes - stabbing someone seems to randomly not be a 1 hit kill sometimes, being outranged(are muskets different sizes?), some people seem to rapid stab too.
I'm finding swords fairly useless when I'd have thought they'd be the perfect counter to bayonets.

I'm sure some of it is just me, but some of it is very weird, like a musket missing from 2 metres... I know accuracy wasn't their strong point but really? Not sure how it's calculated but it seems off. :/

Does auto direction block work online? It seems sometimes I block and sometimes I don't.

I think putting morals into this game would be great! You should ask our Captain Daniel, he knows a lot about morals!

In case anyone thinks of suggesting it though, morale would be a stupid thing to implement.
