I am two years in already and will continue to play so I would say add it and let him be as a compainion (or if its a girl do the same).

I'll do it, it normally takes me quite a while anyway to conquer the isles so it would be awesome if my son/daughter could grow up and finish the last pockets of resistance with me as the heir apparent to my Empire.
