1) was restricted on purpose. It forces the player to walk into towns, exploring them by himself.  Mayhaps talk to people find out about rumors and hidden treasures - if he isn´t spoilered already by the forum.

And apart from that, the guild masters aren´t that hidden or hard to find, so it isn´t much of a nuisance.

Even then, if it bothers you that much, TweakMB can easily make the option to see the guildmaster directly available whenever your in a town.

Actually on that matter, there isnt such an option, because they havent updated TweakMB yet call me a nuub or whatever, but for it is like this.

Please consider tuning relation gains from tournaments, or at least limit monthly number of tournaments in one town.  In my current game, I'm beloved of Torbah- D'Shar are reduced to 2 towns, so every week there is at least one feast with ~5 tournaments. Even if you are able to win only 2, that is 4k gold, +6 relations and +2 honor in one day. Makes guild master quests waste of time.

Hello guys !

Considering that some horse were able to fight and defend their master, considering the weight plus the speed/charge it can reach I felt like the horse in PoP was not strong enough.
Add to this an armor with some sharp edge, add some spike, and you got a medieval "tank".

Any chance you could add this soon? A tiny little dlc maybe?

Also, maybe proper jousting tournaments? Barring that, perhaps you could consider one of the osp tournament modifications (TPE or dunde's 1v1)?

Oh and shield bash and spear bracing would be nice too

But most importantly this

Not too sure on what the Devs will say about them, but my opinion is that the tournaments are alright as they are, simple and they get the job done. I don't even think Floris got a proper jousting tournament, what with the horrible choice of tourney field with so many obstacles. Moreover, it's pretty easy for players to exploit in 1 v 1 jousting, even in early game as they can just switch to the club and smack the retarded opponent to oblivion as soon as they get 150 renown.

And custom player party's name, too trivial. Nice if you want to stoke your ego or whatever players derive from it, but it's absolutely not necessary. Spear bracing would be nice, although the anti-cavalry infantry like halberdiers, pikemen or even soldiers with two-handed are clearly capable of decimating horsemen. No comments on shield bash. Just ranting my opinions.

Bashing tavern drunks gives +/- points to town instead of barkeep relationship.

Unless I missed something, something that altering a barkeep's perception of you can bring (such as paying less to treat your troops), I think it's only natural to make the switch. If you prefer RP over practical reasoning, news travels fast in small communities, and everyone goes to the the tavern sooner or later. That bum was stepping on toes long before you arrived.

While I'm at it, it would be nice to apply the same to the first quest you are offered, for the Merchant of {townname}.

Considering that a) the quest has been shortened and that he's no longer an undesirable, as was the case in Native, b) what you do for him, and c) that he, being an influential merchant, is constantly in touch with the townsfolk, him singing praises about you to others sounds about right. Insignificant as it may be in the long run, that quest would mean much more if you scored points with the town (instead of some random guy you'll never see again) when starting from scratch.

good idea, there are many pointless reputation points, why not use at least some of it?

i think tourneys are good, not even a small touch is needed, especially to the arenas, every "improved arenas with more obstacles than just plain and boring" is a fail, its arena or forest there? look how real arenas look e.g. roman ones: plain terrain filled with sand, what else you want?

while I'm thinking about arenas, i remember those "improved fighting animations", yeah, they are almost real but i think it doesn't work here, every new fighting animations are just confusing

at least i really don't want to see those two things in new pop

Hey gang,

First off I would like to say how much I enjoy your hard work and the great game you have put together.

I was wondering if it is possible to tweak the orders given to your lords in the upcoming 4.0.  One of the most frustrating things I have found in this game is going on campaign and ordering lords to patrol a region on the map in an attempt to negate enemy raids. It would be awesome if there was a "Defend" order in which you could task a lord to patrol/defend a region for an extended period of time, Say a week or until peace is made with the faction you are at war with.

I often send lords to a region and they stay for a day or two and then return to my main force, or they chase smaller armies outside of the region they were intended to defend, which frustrates me. I understand in real life some commanders are over aggressive and would do this, but if you could implement an order that stated defend such and such castle and its fiefs it would add a strategic element to the game.

Some ideas I have had about this (Note I am not a programmer and I do not know if this is even possible so excuse my ignorance)  is expanding a chain of command below the Marshall. Creating minor command roles, depending on how much territory you held would dictate the number of sub-marshals you could have. Creating an army control screen in which you could assign lords to these sub-marshals.  A way to have more precise control of defensive movement would be to create territory zones somewhat like how TW has border regions for territory.

I just personally think that the strategic movements in this game in regards to defense have been a little less than what they could be and this is no fault or your own. You guys have done a great job with this game and you should be proud of your accomplishments.

Something's been bugging me lately - the cavalry is way OP and unrealistic at the moment with their ability to charge over and over again.
So I was wondering, would it be possible to make the lances a one hit weapon? So after the initial charge the lance breaks/gets stuck in some poor guy's chest and the lancer is forced to man up, draw his sword and get up close and personal?

Be more specific, which cavalry do you find to be OP? Charging over and over again won't happen if you kill their horses, which is best done with infantry in a square formation.

If Cavalry seem OP you have to remember that they generally cost more than their unmounted alternate upgrades. An example being Ravenstern Mounted Rangers costing almost twice as much as

Ravenstern Rangers for almost the exact same stats and gear. In the end it all balances out in PoP because all troops have a weakness; it's just a matter of exploiting it.

Pretty much every lance armed cavalry
Sure, you can try to kill the horses but with them having more armor and HP than their riders, it's kind of pointless
So that generally leads to abusing the game mechanics by leading them into the edge of the battle map

And they become even more OP when employed by the player - order follow, charge through enemy lines, build some distance on the other side, repeat.

Both scenarios make for some repetitive battles and get old rather quickly.

On top of that, it's really unrealistic.

unrealistic you say? trolololo Kircholm 1605 Polish cavalry decimated Swedish army using multiple charges, not just one and go melee
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Kircholm

well i couldn't find any better source in English but polish hussars used about 7 charges, they simply crushed all their lances and went back for new ones, that's the hussars tactic
