Sadly I have no idea of the armor's name, but if Bandit Leader have more than 1 possible armor to wear - he has at least 1 bugged. Sometimes I seen bandit leader in full outfit, someone without his body. I'm sure You can find some bandits and check it out even in dialogue mode.
