If a regular event is set, please consider it for once per the month and no more. The shield-wall events we used to run quickly became stale due to weekly regularity.
Not to mention being 100% devoid of sense. the battle was won by the team that
least respected the
keep in the shieldwall rule. Shieldwalls DO function but are CONTEXTUAL, forming one on a hill, a field or any place that leaves at least one flank exposed is nothing more than an invitation to be surrounded. PROPER use was seen during the Danegeld event however, where hosts would hold bridges of strategic importance -
effectively preventing their opponents from crossing.
It was by far my favourite event and I simply cannot wait for another. In my opinion Conquest is the game mode that allows for the greatest strategic and tactical impact - I DREAM of an event that'll allow LEADERS to shine through the outsmarting of their opponent, I want strategic DEPTH to Vikingr!
By the way, if anyone missed it / is interested, heres some footage of the Danegeld from the FenrisBarn point of view - hope you'll enjoy it!
