If GK is asking for public donations, will the public recieve administration abilities since they are, in fact, running the server? I don't believe that it's very fair to continue to keep GK calling the shots and bans when the server is going to be living partially off public funds.

Nope, this is why we're asking for donations instead of selling parts of the server (or something like that), that would entitle people to control of a portion of it. This is like saying the red cross, or any nonprofit, should be managed by all of it's thousands of donors because they've given donations to it.

EDIT: Also, the vast majority of expenses are not currently being covered by donations, so its a pretty big stretch to say that the public is " in fact, running the server".

I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve with this. Your questions were answered, you're just not acknowledging the answers. I asked moderators to get involved after you continued to post personally insulting messages and attempted to discredit the thread despite me asking you to stop several times. We did have an idea like that for people who have already been perma-banned and unbanned three times. Sadly, few make it to #3.

The Red Cross also doesn't arbitrarily ban people for stupid shit.

I find it interesting you're going to continue running the server as you see fit with a proven track record of heavy handed admins who shoot first and ask questions later, all while asking the public to donate. The tone set in the OP is that it's pretty much up to the public to donate, or the server's going to go down -- you're putting the lion's share of responsibility on the public players to keep the server afloat, yet you're going to retain sole power over the server. I find it hard to believe that you're not intelligent enough to see the issue that raises.

Pretty much. We have actually been getting some very generous donations, though. We're much better off in the short-run now, but don't let that discourage anyone from donating
