It seems to happen from time to time whenever im in a battle boom im dead in one shot and a few guys die around me, my men after tht then start getting one-shotted. Its kinda annoying when your about to win a hard fight. I think this mod is dead though so it won't matter.

Is the enemy using shotguns? Those can hit multiple opponents at once.

That could be it but I have 5 points in surgry and they always die when shot with a shotgun. Could it be a bomb?

Shotgun. Always kills everything. Try it on the horse you're riding on!

Shotguns don't always kill everyone, the message only says that they were killed. If you have high surgery a good number of troops will survive.

Definitely; sometimes the game reports I died or my companions died. The messages are not always confirmed kills.
