Maps, or mapping/town visibility system.

Somebody asked in another mod forum about building/upgrading a city...and I wanted to know a similar thing too...sort of you work helping a place to grow into a new neutral faction that later could become yours...like escorting groups of refugee/farmer...escort caravans/herd...patrol the countryside, hunt bandits...send raw materials like wood/stone/foods...give soldier to the garrison...recruit special npc from other place so they could be arms/armour/horse/goods merchant, smiths, arena master (who also could train you skills), the minister like chamberlain or constable...

campsite-->outpost-->village-->castle/town-->city-->big city(with it's own two or three village around it)

Later you provide equipments from your smith skills that could allow the city have better troop tier/type and bigger/stronger/larger yet still fast patrol or city garrisons...or better at resisting siege longer...

I think people said there are neutral city in the old version called Zendar...as for me, I'm still new...know nothing of it...

They said it was impossible to code...well I guess they know better...perhaps there are other roundabout ways...maybe like making the village invisible until the trigger would remove the outpost (like in hunt bandit lair quest) and place a village there...so on and so forth until it's a city...and making village around it invisible until conditions are right for them to appear...

And if anyone will comment on this...yeah...hoping it could become sort of Suikoden-ish...

About the give equipment...I agree with Blaze concept...it'll make the system less complicated and little chance for a bug to occur...that way by having master smith skills, you have access to unique soldier type only you could recruit and no other lords can have it unless you give or sell them (selling soldiers business--this could be another new game concept, instead of getting quest from lords to train them, you got standard option to offer to sell your soldiers to them, not just giving them for free)...that way you create three troop lines (novice, skilled, master)...this could be an encouragement to become a smith...

Also other skills could provide other unique troops...for example the skill as a bard give choice to upgrade recruit into a battlefield musician/banner bearer that gives bonus to other soldiers like better morale or more hp (add extra power strike and iron flesh skill points)...fine fighting is not everything but at least it'll make them worthwhile to have...for example...you give just one single battlefield musician to a king with 50 swadian knights or a garrison with only 20+ nord huscarl, from strong they could become unstoppable...think of the difference you could make...indirectly...

ThaneWulfgharn:
Jousting Tournament.
Nothing more,nothing less,but a proper jousting tournament.

Cairn Curio:
You should make more guilds, like a scholars guild(For people who use intelligents) a fighters guild( self explanatory) and merchants guild( also self explanatory) and others for your class type, and make the guild a part of  the diplomatic system that lords also take part in(make it affect the way lords think of you.), of course there should be quests for the guilds too. Also you should make more mercanary lords(Companions).
