Super low settings

Im wondering if there is any otherway to put the settings on low besides the regular options, like can i get a mod or config anything in the files to make it dirt low so my crappy computer can handle it? Plus if i run direct 7 instead of 9 will that help? Thanks

yes direct 7 should help if you can't run direct 9

well i can run both, but i guess 7 would be better for a extremely bad computer, so is there anything else i can do such as a mod or changing the files?

Did you go to the video settings in the options menu?
There you can lower things like number of corpes and ragdolls, helps gameplay a lot, and lower texture and face details along with turning off shoadows, this should help run the game better, but doesn't look as nice

Is there any way to reduce the amount of flora there is on each map?, i can't even look up with my fps dropping to below 5 even with my settings at the lowest it can go.

I think that is one of the options, like grass or something like that and turn it on quick so you only quickly see it or completly off

It's work only for grass, bushes remain

I saw a thread a while back, it was a Direct x7 optimization pack - it had Dx9 style graphics whilst using Dx7, it looked good, but I never tried it. As someone who used to have a shit computer, I can vouch that Dx7 is best to run, no matter what. I'll try to find the link for you, no guarantees though.
