Apparently so.
Vikingr is and always has been a cracking mod, which really sorts out combat as far as possible within the confines of the games engine. It truly underlines the need for teamwork over individual prowess*, of the need for different weapons amongst the team** and overall how gritty fighting in a shield wall can be - whenever the teams meet in a chokepoint it gets very bloody, very quickly. Vikingr has a lot going for it and, alongside The Deluge, is one of my favourite Warband mods.
*Although some of us, to name no names, do have a habit of skirmishing & acting as a flanking force - Cora led the way, some of us learned from her/him/it/them the hard way. Generally with an axe to the head preceeded one nano-second earlier by Cora's scream. Oh that scream. *Shudders*
**The essential weapon of the mod is the spear. It's long, pointy, does lots of damage and upsets horsemen. If no-one on your team has a spear then horsemen can, and will, ride your team down, unless you have a very good archer. Talking of which with the troop limiter you don't have many of them kicking about and then they only carry up to 14 arrows.
