This thread really is a farce at this point, It should just be locked by one of the FSE or board staff.
Well then, give your thanks to:
For bumping it back to the front page with some straw man bollocks about "bad" men and some utter nonsense about "women in the armed forces". Were you born in a bubble matimofanalda? It's the NAPOLEONIC WARS, not Starship Troopers.
This has NOTHING to do with girl gamers or dislike of women for christs sake. I have a daughter, a mother and a girlfriend, all female you may notice.
It has all to do with Historical AUTHENTICITY (not ACCURACY, It's a game! All games are inaccurate, but they can feel authentic by sticking to the internal rules of the time period).
Women with the armies in the Napoleonic Wars were either wives, mistresses, whores, general fixers/ menders or cooks etc. They loosely can be grouped under the contemporary term "Camp Follower" and continue a tradition of women following armies that goes back to the Ancient World.
However, no women served in the field armies, no woman fought as soldiers in the French, Prussian, Austrian, British or Russian armies. A literal handful of examples of women who managed to join one force or another by deception are tiny exceptions to an otherwise vastly, overwhelmingly male dominated field. Like a few speckles of dust on the sahara desert.
A game based on the Napoleonic Wars should not have girls running around in French/British/Russian/Austrian army uniform. It's frankly dumb as a bag of bricks.
However, every single time I or others point this out we are told we "hate women" are "butthurt"? and various other bollocks. It was done to attract a few more players, both female and the oddball males who like to play as women (

).
The problem isn't the people who questioned the inclusion of female avatars, it's the ranting loons like our dear thread bumper above. Now lock it and save us all from further idiocy.
