How do I get my stuff back?

Ok.   I made one of my henchman (Alayen) a vassel.   But he kept everthing in his 'inventory' from the left-over stuff from the item pool.  Unfortunately, that included over 50K worth of books!   Many of which I hadn't read yet and was rotating between myself and my henchmen.   

So, how do I get thesee books back?   I didn't see a dialog option.   But maybe I just didn't understand it or it was buried in an option path that I didn't chose, though I think I went through them all...

I'm not sure I understand what the problem is. Is he still in your party? If so then talk to him about equipment then ask to see his inventory.

Once you have enfeoffed a companion, they act just like any other NPC lord. So, your stuff is gone.

(We are considering giving inventory access to your lords...at least as a cheat...in 2.6)

No.   He was in my party.   He and a bunch of other henchmen just finished their books.   I noticed, but didn't think anything of it as I thought the item pool was a seperate storage identity and not specifically linked to the henchmen in the order of their party order.

I gave him a fief (Yruma Castle) and he left the party.   With everything in his inventory. 

He has my books.   The bookseller doesn't have them.   I can't rebuy them.   I can't use them.

Any cheats to get the stuff back?

I "think" you can retrieve your items using the cheat menu.

I guess I can infer I'm not the only one...     Also, I'd like to upgrade my Lords.   I like giving them more stats, but better gear would be nice too.
