really? Its like point blanking on a horse. Only newbie pubbers fire on horse, real dragoons fired on foot

I don't think you understand.

If you kill a guy with a sabre it is a lot 'cause of your skill. You are in close hand-to-hand combat. When shooting from horseback it is purely luck, random and nubby. As he said, shooting from horseback is for newbiw pubbers.

Dragoons are supposed to be deployable infantry. Not shotgun-horses. The carabiners may be for this purpose but it is awfully gamebreaking and plainly ghey.

The ability to shoot from horseback is the only thing downright plain wrong in my eyes. And I can play the dragoon, thankyouverymuch.

I would say dragoons are fine, except with musketoon. Too annoying and can hit with ease.

I enjoy playing all Cavalry. Hussars for their incredible speed, allowing them to Harass the enemy and pick of arty and skirmishers. Cuirassier's because they are just tanks (or should be) and the French uniforms are amazing :3. Dragoons are loads of fun, as you get plenty of mounted action and skirmishing to boot. Lancers are probably the one's I like the least (I can thank MM for my hatred/fear of them), although being part Polish I have a soft spot for the Polish Lancers.

Plus generally cavalry have more elaborate uniforms and cooler headgear compared to the infantry and artillery, my favourite uniforms being: le 9e Régiment de Cuirassiers, die Totenkopfhusaren, and the 6th Inniskilling Dragoons.

I just plain ol' love cav in general, it's my favourite arm of every Napoleonic Army and that's why I joined the 19te's cav detachment!

Tried playing dragoons few times, they're plainly ridiculous as I can kill with 8/10 shots with their carbines, although I am one of the worst shooters there is, and in cav vs cav they're only a bit weaker than heavy cav (well, french dragoons ARE heavy cav with muskets but without armour ).

I don't often play cav, but when I do I enjoy playing hussars ! I think they're the best, I love their speed for the hit&run, and to dodge the bullets. I also enjoy playing dragoons when I plan to dismount at some point (in conquest for instance).
I like the heavy cavalry as well (french and english heavy cav have such sexy uniforms <3) but I'm not really good with them.

I prefer hussars ofc becouse they are fast and mobile.
But to be honest the best/most op cav right now (thus the most noobish) is dragoons especially the russian dragoons with the musketoons.

I always try to join as faction general. I don't know the stats and if they're worse than heavy cav but I kick some serious ass. And the rare time both you and the enemy general lose their horses results in epic sword battles for the glory of your nation.

Maybe I just suck at dragoon but I find it a lot harder to shoot someone on horseback than to slash at unaware targets/musicians/dismounted cav. I do think they work great as anti cav units since horses are big enough targets, and even if you don't kill the rider he is fd in the a
