This is a very small suggestion.
Could you change the overhand attack animation for the partizani sledgehammer? Right now it's using a polearm animation for the overhand, and it makes the overhand attack sort of bollocks given the short reach of the weapon. A two handed overhand attack would be way less awkward.
Falling of the horse is not even near as dangerus as being hit by galloping horse. Yet infantry just kung fu jump back on feet in a split of second.
Not entirely true, falling off a horse can prove lethal many times depending on the size of the rider. A smaller, lighter hussar might not take too much of a beating but a cuirassier in armor would take an immobilizing landing in most circumstances. If his horse landed on him as he went down he'd probably die.
Either way though, I think more charge damage would actually be good for both infantry and cavalry. There's a really annoying "horse bump" technique people (IE: me) use to get easy cavalry kills. If people were simply knocked down entirely when being horse-bumped it might not be as big a problem, and at the same time cavalry would become a bit more useful because the horse charge actually does good damage. (which is sort of the point of a cavalry charge, it bowls infantry over and shatters formation)
my suggestion is maybe we could have pikemen units for the nations? pikemen use was declining around this time, but they were still used a bit by militia i guess. Also it would be really cool to make pike squares and they'd be useful for defending against cav better than a bayonet.
The russian line militia can choose a "pike." It's got a bit better reach than the bayonet so it's fairly good for anti-cavalry.
It's slower and does way less damage than the bayonet, despite being just as sharp(looking). It's realistic though, as every nation hired wizards to enchant bayonets to have vastly superior damage to even the most identical or even superior weapons.
