Got any proof for that statement or are you just giving your thoughts?
Yeah here, let me crack open Oxford Universitys "Running in front of Gigantic Fast Moving Animals and managing to escape with your life" study.
Are you serious? You need me to explain to you why a 2 x 20 cm bayonet is not going to instantly kill a moving horse and its rider in the same blow? let alone the fact how the single man who kills it managed to drive himself into 55,000 joules of moving flesh and bone and manage to survive with his spine intact?
In terms of raw damage the bayonet is absolutely ridiculous. 45 thrust damage. Even the Balance Warhammer, the most OP weapon in warband only did
42 thrust damage, and that was still enough to kill even the most heavily armored troops in a single blow. A comparatively tiny blade on a gun is not going to do more damage than a sword thrust or sword chop from a balanced and sharpened sword. A bayonet is a secondary melee capability, not a godly primary weapon.
