Fixing those problems might require the server to be on 1.153, too. Many servers are yet on 1.143 to my understanding...so...there may still be hope?

1.143 or 1.153, HTTP improvements have nothing to do with ping anyway. In Native it's used for retrieving the server list and authenticating with servers.

Dont think so with this patch..
I prefer bayonet, because everyone gets to find their own special way how to fight with it, unlike a sword imo you just mindlessly block, attack and spam.

I've noticed that during SP my computer performance tends to drop during large battles (~250-300 men). It seems like it takes more resources to handle these battles.

However, this seems to disappear whenever I bring up my tactical map screen (Backspace). :?

Personally, I think these patches need some fixes. I'll wait for that, but for now, I'll keep with 1.143

This patch + my internet = X_X    I can no longer join a server in native. This is ALL that happens every time I try. 
1) Takes about 5 minutes for all servers to finish coming up.
2) I try getting into one and end up with a message saying that I have lost connection.
3) I try getting into that server again and then I get a message saying your name is being used by another player.
4) Repeat step 3 with the same result.
5) I try once more and I "join" the server and I finally have a  :D face, but then 2 seconds later I'm like automatically kicked out of the server.
6) Repeat this whole process all over again about 20 times until I can finally join the server correctly and then get screwed over by my internet which actually does make me lose connection.
7) Runs towards the router and starts slapping it silly.
8) RQ and watch Spartacus.

Yeah, I "lose connection to server" everytime I try to join after the patch. Really frustrating.  If you allow more time between the 1st and 2nd "your profile name is being used by another player" it will tend to kick you back to the main multiplayer screen less.

Also, been having serious fps lag since updating.  I max at 250+, have had it capped at 150 for the past 6 months w/ no issues, lowered it the other day due to it boucing all over the place to 120, was lagging hard on a server last night bouncing between 120 and 80 after a clean install of 1.153.

Alright I found a very severe bug with this new patch. If you use a long axe and change weapon modes during a hit, the opponent can't see the direction of the axe. You see the start and then you are death. I would really like to contact someone to make sure this bug gets rid of as I really like playing with this kind of feints and I hate being called a hacker, because the game doesn't register it properly.

...did not work for me.  The sound becomes heavily distorted, laggy, and almost unrecognizable.  After an inconsistent amount of time, it sometimes fixes itself, with no discernible action taken on my part.
