Yeah, I've noticed that my men will sometimes blatantly refuse to go over the top of one or more of the ladders. Sometimes they just clump up in a traffic jam that would make NYC at rush hour look like a midwestern town by comparison.

Ya I've noticed these as well and it seems the AI mesh is the culprit on all of it and wouldn't you know it's the hardest thing to work with. The way the AI calculates distance is by how many AI mesh faces it has to cross to get over there regardless of terrain and obstacles. So I'm actually going through every castle (with a cheat enabled lvl 62 char) and just looking at the ones that seems like they could use a little tweaking and seeing what I can do.

It's really hard to get them to notice open ladders over a crowded ladder when they think this ladder is faster.... and it doesn't help that the Editor for AI mesh is an @$$hole. Oh well with a little time I'm sure I'll (hopefully) master it.
