Is each factions general (Napoleon, Blucher, etc.) still a playable unit? If so, is there a new general unit for the Austrians?

Yes, they are still playable, and the Austrian general is Karl Philipp zu Schwarzenberg

Cool beans. Interesting choice for an Austrian general, I would've thought it was gonna be Karl von Osterreich or Archduke Ferdinand. ''Famous Austrian Generals'' is kind of a short list anyway.

Well, Karl never commanded an army after the War of the Fifth Coalition in 1809, so he's not really an option. Ferdinand is out of the question due to his being dead by the time NW is set.

Maybe you're thinking of a different Ferdinand. Archduke Ferdinand Karl Joseph was commander-in-chief of the Austrian army from 1805-1815.

Right, I assumed you meant the Archduke Ferdinand that fought in the War of the Third Coalition, and died in 1806.

There are about 500 Archdukes named Ferdinand is Austrian history anyway. Are there any plans for adding multiple units to the generals? Id like to see some of Napoleon's marshals and maybe an aide-de-camp

Hmm no, we only have the Generals.

But Docm30 has them in his mod, he made some pretty nice looking Marshalls.

Schwarzenberg is a good choice, he commanded the allied armies during the battle of Leipzig ("Völkerschlacht bei Leipzig") in 1813.
