I think you need to get some actually decent group fighters into the beta, so for example, get Chibbi and Evanovic in there, see how they can adapt with these changes, as they don't spin as everyone seems to think everyone else does, they turn around quickly to avoid being backstabbed. I think if you let them in, and let them give feedback, it would probably shut up alot of the malcontents like me and sid.

That's obvious; Having a new bracing animation, the square formation is gonna be a usual thing.

well they do have explosive shot in howitzers so i just hope that doesnt persuade people to not do squares

THIS. It seems to me that the people you used to test it didn't even spin in the first place, do take the point of view from both sides rather then one. It's a valuable part of this game and removing it without any logical reasoning is just well stupid. Tell me honestly what was wrong with the old melee system? I felt the MM melee system was second only to that of cRPG, and thoroughly enjoyed spending the most of the time I spent on Warband on MM.

Howitzers fire with a angle now though so aiming those needs some practice.
A direct hit in your square could mean that a lot of people die but the whole square wont be blown up because the people that stand in front of others take the hit.  :twisted:
And the explosive range is limited, it might just only hurt you with some fragments.

lol well thats always good, and i like that there will be less spinning , i spin alot but i always feel that is unrealistic and id prefer to see realistic looking melee like what will be in the DLC

Is chambering realistic I think not. has their be a nerf to this to then?  If you're calling for realism then cut out chambering!

Sigh, no, chambering is not removed.

I'm going to close this topic for it is just rage, speculation and whenever a beta testers pops in and sais it's cool we get another range of rage.

Soon the game will be released, you play it, you like it or don't like it and you comment on it. this thread is pointless at this time.
