This regiment fights for the Prussian Army
Teamspeak : 74.91.116.171

If you're looking for a mature, large and active Mount&Blade: Napoleonic Wars regiment and small community entirely based in North America region then the 1stFKI is for you!
Our goal is to provide a fun and entertaining Napoleonic Wars Line-Battle experience that will appeal to seasoned players and newcomers alike. We strive to reach a level of maturity and skill reached by few in the NA community by providing a host of skilled and active players.

We are a Prussian Infantry regiment. Our goal as a regiment is to be a driving force in line battles. Our goal during linebattles is to smash opponents with thundering  musket volleys and skilled use of steel as well as providing a fun organized linebattle experience for all members.

We strive to be a disciplined regiment. This of course will not get in the way of having fun but we will need to maintain a moderate silence amongst rankers during battles.
A higher degree of discipline will lead to a more enjoyable trainings which will lead to a increase in skill and performance in the field.

The Musketeers (line Infantry) make up the backbone of the Regiment. They as the name refers, fight in line with your average Musket. Firing in Massed volleys they aim of these members to to be the main driving force of our regiment and secure victory. All members upon enlistment will be placed in the Infantry with the rank of Rekrut unless an exception is made.
Skill with the Bayonet and 1809 Pattern Infantry Musket is required. Upon being promoted to the rank of of Musketeer you will have this rank until merit and skill at arms attracts attention from the officers.
Ranks
  • Rekrut : Gained upon joining. Will hold this until you have attended 10 events.
  • Musketier : After attending 10 events you will be promoted to Musketeer. You will have this rank untill you show yourself skilled enough to be promoted.
  • Füsilier : Considered skilled Musketeers. Members who have shown themselves skilled, active and loyal to the regiment.
  • Gefrieter : Considered the "Shock Troopers" of the Regiment. Consisting of the extremely skilled players of the regiment. All members should aspire to be.

If a member shows a high degree of loyalty and maturity as well as a understanding of regimental tactics you will be promoted to a NCO rank. From here you will gain responsibility for maintaining formation. Also upon being promoted to NCO rank you will begin to be further taught your role and regimental tactics in a more advanced format. If you continue to show that you posses leadership skills and are growing at a respectable rate you will be potentially given a higher NCO position and possibly an officer role.

The Officer and non-commissioned staff are composed of the social elite of the regiment. The cream of the crop, the big guys, the bosses and the big cheese. Whatever they are called their job remains the same. They have the responsibilities of maintaining discipline, assisting administratively and in the field as well as being the Aide-de-camp to the Kapitian. They are also expected to  be fluent in leading training and the line during linebattles.
  • Kapitän : The leader of the Regiment. Leads the regiment in all aspects. All lower ranks answer to him. Known as the "Big Cheese".
  • Oberleutnant : Littererly translated to "Over Leutnant" this role is the 2nd in command. He expected to be able to handle all changes the Kapitän faces as well as being his Aide-de-camp.
  • Leutnant : The lowest official officer rank. This role requires an active and skilled officer who is able to pick up leading the line on the fly as well as  assist the Kapitan and Oberleutnant .
  • Feldwebel : The highest NCO rank he is responsible to make sure orders from the officers are filled out properly. Also expected to handle administration properly.
  • Unteroffizier : Translated to "Under Officer" These members are expected to assist in drill and point out and fix errors in formations.
  • Korporal : Primarily assists the Unteroffizier  in fixing formation. They are the designated File Closers in the Company.

Of all positions in the regiment being a part of the artillery is the most glamorous. Most members like to  jump at the opritunity to be in the artillery during linebattles.
Being good with cannons and killing up to 10 enemies in one shot makes you the rock star of the day. However to be a par of this elite group you must have very skilled experience with artillery.
Newcomers who show potential are often apprenticed for an event where they show if they are worthy to be a a part of the artillery.

If you wish to join the 1st Freikorps Infantry Battalion and participate in

The 1st Freikorps Infantry Battalion is a very active regiment. Attendance is required to a majority of events. Our events range from the normal public linebattle, to regimental training focusing on increasing the skills and discipline of members, and siege events. Most events have some strict rules that all members must follow.
Below is a short explanation of two common rules as well as our weekly event schedule.

You Must fire in formation

  • You are not allowed to fire your weapong when you are not in formation.
  • Examples of what not to do : The charge command is given but you have a shot. Half way through the charge you stop and shoot an enemy.
Because you were not in line this is not allowed.

Double/Triple Rank required
  • A Simple Rule to follow but must be done Correctly.
  • Either because of our regiment's size or event rules the regiment must operate in a double rank formation. All members are expected to be knowledgeable in this doctrine.

Monday Regimental Training and Possible LB
Time 8pm Eastern Standard Time. Possibly followed by either inter regimental or 1v1 LB.

Tuesday North American Hardcore Line Battle
Time : 8pm Easter Standard Time. Rules : Must Fire in Formation, Double Rank Required

Time : 8:30pm EST. An Optional Event for the Civil War mod named North and South.

Thursday Training and Prussian Army Scrimmage
Time : 8 EST A training followed by a linebattle with our fellow Prussian Army Regiments

Thundersnow's Friday "Super Secret"Friday Linebattles
Time : 9pm EST. Rules : Double/Triple Rank required and you must fire in formation.

Our only siege event it is considered one of our best weekly events.

Raising and overview
The 33rd Virginia Volunteer Infantry Regiment was an infantry regiment raised in the Commonwealth of Virginia for service in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. I

Originally, the regiment was commanded by Col. Arthur C. Cummings, though it would change hands many times through the war. The 33rd, along with the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 27th Virginia Regiments, formed the famous 'Stonewall Brigade' under the command of the legendary Stonewall Jackson. The 33rd Virginia remained in the Stonewall Brigade in Thomas J. Jackson's Second Corps until the restructuring of the Army of Northern Virginia after his death in the spring of 1863. It was then put under Richard Ewell's command until the spring of 1864, when it dissolved at the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House.

Regimental Orginization

The regiment was organized and mustered into service soon after the secession of Virginia on 17 April 1861. It was formed of ten companies, which included men from Hampshire, Shenandoah, Frederick, Hardy, Page, and Rockingham counties. Two of these counties, Hampshire and Hardy, seceded in 1863 from the state of Virginia, forming part of the northeastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
The ten companies were:
A - Potomac Guards (Hampshire Co.)
B - Toms Brook Guard (Shenandoah Co.)
C - Tenth Legion Minute Men/Shenandoah Riflemen (Shenandoah Co.)
D - Mountain Rangers (Winchester, Frederick Co.)
E - Emerald Guard (Shenandoah Co.)
F - Independent Greys/Hardy Greys (Hardy Co.)
G - Mount Jackson Rifles (Shenandoah Co.)
H - Page Grays (Page Co.)
I - Rockingham Confederates (Rockingham Co.)
J - Shenandoah Riflemen(Shenandoah Co.)

Action at the First Manassas (The battle the mod is based on)

When the Union and Confederate armies engaged near Manassas Junction, Virginia on 21 July 1861, General Jackson and his brigade earned the nickname "Stonewall" when, as they retreated to reform along Henry House Hill, Gen. Barnard Bee cried out to his ailing troops: "There stands Jackson like a stone wall. Rally behind the Virginians!" Eight of the ten companies in the 33rd were present.
At the height of the battle, it was Jackson's first brigade, and more specifically, the undersized regiment of Colonel Cummings that turned the tide of battle with a well-timed charge against an exposed artillery battery. The successful capture of the guns is thought to be largely because, due to the lack of formality in early war uniforms, Jackson's men were dressed in blue, just like their Federal counterparts. Though the 33rd Virginia succeeded in capturing the guns, the number of men that made the charge (only about 250) were unable to maintain possession and were forced to retreat. The charge had halted the steady advance of the Union Army up to that point, and precipitated further charges by Jackson's other regiments. By day's end, the actions of the 33rd led to the complete rout of the Union Army, and played a major role in immortalizing the brigade.
The cost of immortality for Cummings' regiment was high. Of the 450 men who were present at the battle, the 33rd would suffer 43 killed and 140 wounded.
