The Japanese think the Japanese are better no more than the Americans think they are better, or the British think they are better, or the Canadians think the British are better. National pride mixed in with subtle hatred of all things not you does that to cultures.

I quite clearly meant that you should never use "now in the 21st century" (and that sort of things) as an argument for anything. Your head must be so high up your ass you couldn't hear me right, and instead wanted to show how progressive and modern you are by calling me an ignorant.
